= FOR THIS PIECE I USED:

▪️PIÑATA Alcohol Inks from Jacquard (all are in the Exciter pack):
- Senorita Magenta
- Baja Blue
- Rich Gold

✨ I recommend the Jacquard PIÑATA “Exciter Pack” of 9 alcohol inks! These inks are rich, vibrant and highly pigmented!
Exciter Pack: amzn.to/2G2tkAB
🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2HzXn3c

▪️ Piñata Claro Extender : amzn.to/2J87R9S (4 oz. bottle)

Claro Extender allows you to thin your inks without compromising their binding ability as using isopropyl alcohol alone will do. This is particularly important if you are working on glass or tile (slick surfaces). Claro also extends your working time a bit by drying somewhat slower.

▪️ 91% Isopropyl Alcohol

▪️ This was done on the BACK of a sheet of Kirkland Professional Glossy Inkjet Photo Paper : amzn.to/2GUEcTJ

= TOOLS =

🔹 My favorite airbrush is very easy to use within 5 minutes of opening the box... this includes a mini-compressor, the airbrush and hose: amzn.to/2BHzdCo

🔹 The little paintbrushes I used come in a pack of 10 from eBay ... They will take 2 - 3 weeks to arrive but the pack costs less than $2 and that includes shipping!
ebay.to/2pHFiI8 (I used size "S")

🔹 The squeeze bottles that had the thinned alcohol ink (with the white cap):
— for a pack of 6: amzn.to/2qNs517
— for a pack of 12: amzn.to/2qLBrKs

🔹 The tiny silicone cup that held the gold ink : amzn.to/31uHLHe

= SEALING / VARNISHING =

To seal an alcohol ink piece I use a museum quality spray by Krylon: Kamar Varnish. Unlike most spray varnishes and acrylic sprays, it will not react with the alcohol inks. 🔹Here is a link: amzn.to/2jGh3KO

If done on something paper thin like Duralar, the piece can be framed under glass or acrylic without being sprayed. Avoid placing your alcohol ink work where it will be exposed to direct sunlight however. Some inks can fade in the sun.

A UV Protecting spray can help minimize fading.

AS A newcomer two alcohol inks, and a 50 year watercolor artist , I am overjoyed with your video and information. I am a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and thrilled with this new beginning. thank you!
  • Rounding them out is called neurographing, great way to meditate and open the mind. Love your work.
  • So glad I clicked on your link. I was just coming to see you use the Claro Extender, but was pleasantly surprised to see you pull out the Kirkland photo paper as I placed an order just last night for it! :) Thanks for all of the tips and tricks!
  • Beautiful, Miriam! I’m brand new to alcohol inks (well, any sort of artistry, really—left-brained senior here). Your teaching style and explanations are extremely helpful and fun! Thank you so much. 💕

Myriam you inspired me so much. I’m off to ‘Woolies’ to buy me some photo paper and I can’t wait to experiment. Oh, and straws. Thank you.
  • Are you still doing video? Would love to see more. Love your style and your laugh makes me smile so much it makes learn so much more fun. Thank you
  • Oh my goodness this is just what I did for our family Christmas cards. However just before .my work was finished drying I did use the gold flakes for the Vains. It turned out so cool. On I had so much fun with this and it had the perfect colors where I wanted the colors. Then at the end the gold vains were just a perfect amount..
  • I really enjoyed watchingn you create these wispy flowers on this arctic cold, snow-filled, day. It's like taking a stroll in a warm summer garden.
  • This was the best technique video I have ever seen. You go at a pace that I can keep up with but not so slow that I'm bored. Thanks. I'll be watching more.

I usually don’t finish watching most of these tutorials, but I couldn’t stop playing yours. You did a great job, not only with your instructions, but your voice is so calming and inviting. You are also more organized than most! Thank you.

Another Gorgeous Dreamy Piece !! There are so many things I admire about you. Your delivery is spot on. You know your materials and are able to articulate with such ease. What I do not understand is, how on Earth you are able to keep all your materials and area so clean and crisp at all times. That just astounds me.
  • @Richiedei50
