IS IT GOOD? | Benchmade Infidel

This is a knife that is inspired by a stealth fighter jet. The blade fires in a very controlled and elegant manner. It takes very little force to deploy this monster.

I've carried a satin blade full size Infidel since 2009. Not had any issues with it though I am careful to ensure no coins, dirt, lint get up into the handle while it's in my pocket. Very very lightly oil and carefully hit with a leather strop every few months and it always stays razor sharp. I'm careful not to cut anything that would damage/dull the blade as I've got a key chain knife for routine daily use. I want it to stay ready for personal protection should I ever need it.

I have owned, and carried, an Infidel for 7+ years now. Not once in that entire time has it ever failed to deploy or retract properly (and, after 7 years, I'm talking 1000's of times!).   Only problem I've encountered, after about year 6, was a stiffness to the actuating "button." A few drops of "Release" brand knife lubricating oil fixed the problem.

    Most underrated channel ever
  • Absolutely most reliable knife Both my uncles owned one and they passed them both to me. Have their initials engraved on the side - knives are satin black.

I got a 3300bk today and I’m super stoked to finally own this tool 💪🦅

Great job on 100 dude 100 more and you’ll pass me up
  • Got to love the podium jimping. (BladHQ came up with that name, not me) Love my Infidel.
  • I've carried one for years and the only problem I've ever had is every once in awhile I'll have a coin get stuck in the tip of it and it won't open

Could you do a review for a good budget OTF knife?

As someone who has carried an infidel for years… Is it practical? Not really. Is it worth $500? Probably not. Would I buy it again? Most likely
  • I have the same knife and after limited carrying it struggles to close. Wished I knew what to do about it. Feels dry inside.

A lil late to the party, though nice review!! The only suggestion that I'd make is to wear a lighter shirt cuz when you dropped the knives down in front of your shirt, you couldn't see them as even the lighter Mini-Freak blended in with your shirt. Between your dark shirt, dark knives combined with the low lighting, it was very tough to really see the knives. Easy fix as your presentation is excellent and I will be subscribing, and as former Federal LE, I find the vast vast majority of these YTube knife videos a joke versus how a knife is deployed in the real world(I was in an undercover role for two+ years in which time I was involved in three knife/Punch Dagger altercations). Your video was a breadth of fresh air🤙 Stay Well, Stay Safe & Continued Success Brotha👊 RP
  • It’s a cool toy; but I carry winkler fixed blade every day on my belt or kit. Way better tools.
