USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71) in action! The ultimate SUPERCARRIER COMPILATION video – from home-port to the HIGH SEAS!

We've searched far and wide to assemble what we believe to be the undisputed greatest USS Roosevelt compilation video in existence.

This video has it all – including, among other things, rare footage of the carrier leaving port; as well as both night and day flight deck operations footage, an ammo transfer, and an air-show!

Finally an excellent video without music to cover up the sounds we want to hear. Thank You UMC for getting it right.

I was privileged to 'sail' on the Big Stick from Pearl to San Diego as a Tiger - great ride, great crew - memory of a lifetime. Daughter is a Gunner's Mate.

I spent 10 years on 3 warships as a Boatswain's Mate, and though I've been out for 26 years, I am STILL extremely proud of our Navy!

I was on the Forrestal when we had the fire, was an A4 PC. Back on the Intrepid for a WestPac, line po with A4E planes. Lots more people on the deck with the newer planes, glad to see the Navy is up to the task. Loved working on the flight deck. God be you guys and gals working the deck.
  • Respect for all the soldiers around the world who fight for their countries so that common people can peacefully live. Love from India

I was on the pre-commissioning unit for CVN-71. Served on her from 1985 until 1988. I have many memories of those times. It's something to see her once again; a real trip down memory lane. I still have my ball cap hanging in my workshop. I sailed with her from the fiords of Norway to the islands of the Caribbean. I was on her when she shrugged off shock trials from 40,000lbs of HE. Someday when they decommission her, I am supposed to get a plank from her deck, but I think she will outlive me as like as not. A great ship.
  • Does N. Korea really want to fool around with these guys?Does anybody? I want these guys on my side. Amazing!
  • @RonLinthicum
Great job as always, expecting nothing less from what you guys have done.  Bravo USA!

Gidday from your friends in Australia, I’m glad USA is on our side. Thank you.
  • Epic video . I love videos of carrier flight operations . The flight deck of a carrier during flight operations is the most dangerous place in the military other then being under direct fire . It is a tribute to the young men & women that are in most cases only a few years removed from high school .

My Daughter is on ship now, it’s nice to see what the carrier looks like and the takeoffs and landings....awesome stuff
  • @e4300
Thanks to whoever did this video.
  • I am very proud to have been the (AZ) AIMD IM-3 to establish the first aeronautical technical publications library on board. I was with her from the beginning, standing fire watches during her construction, manning the rail at her commissioning , shock trials , and then serving aboard for 4 years sailing the world. It was the greatest time of my life and am a better man for having served aboard her. Fair winds and following seas to the T.R and her crew. GO BIG STICK !!
  • @nuuanusam
Amazing! Lifting off in such a short distance! Thank you for keeping us safe!

No matter who they are or what they do it all starts with "Left foot Forward, Right foot forward" the fundamentals basics of arms drill and foot drill require the same focus and discipline! But this is top class!! Great work!
