I sure enjoy the locomotive noises. It adds a lot of realism to railroading.

You’ve got two totally different layouts! Both are great. Always fun

Hi Ken, Nice to see you back at the old layout.. I was told years ago.. always put the lightest carriages at the end of the train which causes fewer derailments, if they are in the middle of a consist they are the ones that will fall over or try to straighten out the bends because you have 3 forces acting on it, forward, backward and sideways. Enjoy.

I like both tracks. This one has a ton of time invested, from the appearance. Be very cool to see the new buildings when you have time. This one has come along nicely lately with the grass and dirt road additions. Looking sharp! The other one seems urban and this one rural ... I like the contrast.

Well first off you need a little town with an old-fashioned church. If you don't have an old-fashioned church, it aint a good train track. Another thing is you need a railroad yard. And another thing you definitely need. Maybe some housing farmhouses. Barns, you know some stuff like that on there. So it'll look good.

Hi Ken & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Ken & Friends Randy & Super Cool Ken & The Bets a Luck On The New Layout Thanks Ken & Good Friends Randy
  • Once you get some more rolling stock each loco should easily pull 10 cars so putting the train together like your doing you should break your record with a 30 car train!!! πŸ˜πŸ‘

Hi Ken! Great channel.....love the trains! Just a thought or idea....in the room with the original layout, might it be possible to make an elivated layout of tracks mounted to the walls mounted above the original layout, using it as a mountain train pass ( like in tbe alps ). You could dismantel what ever you need from the second layout and repurpose it to the room of the original layout, keeping cost of materials to a minimum. Maybe paint of purchase a mountain scenery back drop to the walls to give it the effect of a train running through the mountains. May build a small mountain village along one wall with a tunnel running across another wall. Just some food for thought. Good luck and please keep the train videos coming!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  • Looks terffic great πŸ‘πŸ‘ job keep the videos coming it helps me out

I like this layout way better, keeping it simple and beautiful is where the enjoyment comes from, full steam ahead.
  • You know, I actually think I like this layout better. Both are great, but there's something about this layout that my eyes prefer.
  • @MechsWorld
Yeah Ken it is definitely more tiny home these days, but its warm outside. Enjoy it.
  • It was nice of Chad to come over and keep you company while you played with the trains :D Don't need height out in the rural areas!

  • This looks really cool! Some things I would recommend would be a steam locomotive to go with those old 1860s wooden coaches, the BNSF diesel looks so goofy in front of them a large town somewhere next to the lake and some advice, instead of having 3 different units throughout the entire train, I think having all three or 2 of the units at the front and one at the back so it would be more realistic. Cheers!

Ken you need a dust sheet for the layout to keep it clean and ready to play old boys with their toys
