Exotic armor tuning for Final Shape // What is Pathfinder?

just wanna apologize for all the unscripted, me just reading articles type stuff recently. it's been hard to keep up with how much stuff there has been to discuss with final shape and into the light. i'm working on follow up thoughts for the entirety of pantheon, thoughts on season of the wish and a couple of other scripted videos that should all be coming before final shape hits that i think you'll enjoy. just bear with me for now.

I had...NO IDEA that was how ammo finder worked. So many times when ammo was so scarce make so much more sense now. Huge win there.

I wish they had touched more exotics. They are touching like 20 out of like 120. There's too many that still suck.

The convenience of pathfinder is great, but as far as "play the way you want" it is now potentially worse than before the rituals update. Back then you were limited to just one of the rewards if you only like one of the activities, now you might not be able to get even 1 reward if you refuse to play the ones you don't like. It's really going to depend on the objectives themselves, like if most/all the crucible ones can also be completed in onslaught (at a reduced rate), cause it's also for Shaxx. Edit: Ooo, that bright dust farming is enticing though.

They gave renewal frost armour key words but not icefall mantle? Ya'know the exotic that slows you down but in turn gives you "stasis overshield". Might be just me but I feel like the exotic armour that gives ice armour should also have frost armour Edit: turns out it would be a MASSIVE nerf since it already gives 62.5% DR

31:27, shocking that people won't want to play a game mode that's been ignored by bungie for literal years now and another one where you have to deal with people who exclusively play that mode and have exclusively better guns than you because you only bother with pve rolls. I don't hate crucible, but I do know forcing people into it is not going to boost numbers positively. It's going to result in people complaining about braindead teammates and stomps even more, because people who don't want to play pvp, are being made to go into pvp. The people who play gambit are already playing gambit. No one wants to be forced to see the three same maps over and over, while getting rolled by assholes like me who know how to skip past damage gates on the primevals.

One of the most underwhelming exotic passes. Hyped it up and said they would buff underperforming exotics but so many that have been underperforming for years were not touched in the slightest. Wish there had been a lot more buffing of useless exotics

Rip severance enclosire. Not being able to trigger it on offensive bullwark melees anymore is a huge nerf it didn’t need…

Biggest thing with Pathfinder: Dont force me to play a certain activity (especially Crucible) to complete the path. You can easily split the 3 main activities into different paths with the same activity being able to be done across the path, but with the option to split off if wanted.

I love these videos where you read the article to us and add your thoughts! I can read them but half the time I just go “huh alright” so having someone more in tune with the game talk about it is nice! Don’t feel bad for not scripting the video is still a great watch!!

I do not like the pathfinder layout one bit cause it's just the whole thing back when we were forced into specific modes to progress the seasonal catalyst and now they are trying to pull that again with our rituals now instead of letting people grind it out as we want to. You'd think that Bungie would have learned that a lot of people do not like to be forced into specific modes for any specific reason but I guess they decided to take a step back and roll the dice again with forcing people to interact with things they don't want to. And they seemed to be doing so well too then massive ability and armour nerfs and now this.

31:35 i see the vision. I don't give a crap about it though. I'm not playing Crucible. I'm not playing Gambit. To be forced to play those to get rewards that, as of now, we can currently get in just doing Vanguard is completely stupid

I'm 99% sure that bungie execs have just implemented a monthly L quota, where there has to be a certain amount of BAD changes every month, or else a wave of layoffs occur.

I was really bummed by this update considering yesterday's was pretty good.
