The hardest part with all these "All blanks explained" videos is that, there has been SO MUCH Star Wars lore over the years, that it hits a point where so many of these feel redundant, and its hard to believe the empire would actually need this many different variations of the same ship.
-
The one TIE Poe and Finn flew was a special forces TIE fighter, meant for the best of the First Order’s pilots. The regular First Order TIE had no turret, but did still have deflector shields.
-
Tie Defender is my love. I remember it from an add-on to Tie Fighter. The feeling of power when piloting it is just crazy.
-
Don't forget the Heavy tie bombers
-
The TIE Baron could be based on The Red Baron, a WW1 german fighter pilot who had 80 kills, who flew a red 3 winged plane
-
Really like the classic Ties like the Fighter Bomber and Interceptor. Some of the special ones like the Scout, Oppressor, Sentinel, Avenger, Phantom and Defender are also ones I really like. The ground based Ties were a weird bunch though. But the Lancet is hilarious with the design and proton beam weapon.
-
The ship that Poe Dameron stole was actually called the TIE SF or “special forces”. The rear gunner and the red flash of colour are the main differences
-
My new favorite TIE Fighter is the raptor. it is quite literally a ball with 4 solar panels in the "X" configuration. It may not be practical, but it is very goofy looking.
-
"It's Doritos like wings" That's all I needed to hear
-
You forgot a few though. Tie Ground target, Tie Fire control, Tie Heavy Bomber, Tie Light Duty, Tie Stealth, Tie/rc Unidentified TIE varian (i call TIE Terror), the Imperial Troop Transport TIE Version (not the ground vehicle), technically speaking the Emperors Royal Guard TIE Fighter are also their own thing, since you included the Mining guild tie, you could have also included the Nsiss Clawcraft and the Gand starfighter.

Tie Tanks: Exists Me: Wait... wah? Tie Boat: Also Exists Me: Wah?! The other weird TIEs: Exist As Well Me: WAH?!
-
One thing you missed was that the first order had the TIE/fo similar to the imperial ones but with deflector shields but the one Poe and Finn flew was a First Order special forces tie fighter aka TIE/sf which had deflector shields along with a hyperdrive and rear turret and you can tell the difference because the sf has the red markings on the side of the cockpit

In my school vr game Goalius TIE tan form is considered a TIE veriont which is in the game (a form he uses for space combat and traveling to different locations of Ultra Space)
-
A bit of info on the TIE Hunter, it was actually designed specifically to be an answer to the X-Wing Also, the second image you showed for the TIE Bizarro is a fan-made build in Space Engineers.
-
I love the features of the defender and the design of the interceptor. And call me crazy, but I actually like the tie Baron.
-
As a veteran of the X-Wing series I of course love the Avanger and Defender (long version), my very favorite fighters to fly. Also love the sleek design of the Phantom.
-
i grew up with the rebel assault PC games so i have a nostalgia for the TIE Phantom from RA2 lol
-
I love tie fighters so much they are so cool and classic sound design they make are music to My ears 😊

So if you're gonna include Legends exclusive ships, you should include the Legends history on the others. i.e. the TIE Defender was originally created by Grand Admiral Zaarin in the TIE Fighter: Defender of the Empire game series. It was meant to be his advantage over the Emperor's loyalists during his coup attempt. He would be defeated by Admiral Thrawn who was then promoted to Grand Admiral to replace Zaarin. The only other ship that could defeat the TIE Defender was the Cygna Missile Boat. Rebels actually portrays the TIE Defender like its another TIE Fighter but with a lot more fire power and speed. The real TIE Defender was so much of a threat that even the Empire limited its production after Zaarin's coup attempt. Quad Ion Canons, Quad Laser Cannons, Dual Missile Load and can carry up to Heavy Bombs. Hyperdrive. Regenerative Shields. Life Support. It could still fight even if it lost a wing. It was pretty much the answer to the rebellion's A-wing. Badass ship and I do hope we see more of it in Ahsoka s2. Its first appearance outside of the video game and in canon, is not Rebels. Its actually in Return of the Jedi Remaster. You have to look for it during the space battle and its very brief. It was added as a nod to the video game since it was such a popular game at the time.
