Imo the main problem with them, besides their terrible proportions, is that GW made a multi part plastic kit giving them LESS diverse poses and options than even the first edition terminators that came 4 or 5 years before that

Ahhh, Miniscape. Exactly what I needed in the background while I did a bit of baking.
  • It was thanks to that space hulk game I even got interested into Warhammer. We were having a "bring a toy to school" day at school, one kid brought his box of space hulk and another of his friends brought some of those old monopose plastic reptile skinks, I had no idea what any of this was but I just knew it was cool as can be 😎, so a few years later my mum bought me the 3rd edition starter set and the paint set for 40k, i then immediately spilled Bad Moons yellow paint on my trousers

Man I miss low price blister packs for single minis to customise a squad. Oooh and the catalog. I had the GW catalog where you could order individual bits... That takes me so far back

Hey I recognize those lamenters terminators! Honored to have them on a video great work as always :)

The yellow armor looks absolutely fantastic. Oh man. The first model I ever had for anything tabletop related was a metal Terminator with assault cannon (Albeit the metal version of these sculpts). They were under the glass counter at a local game/comic shop, having been already painted pretty nicely. I had no idea what it was but I loved how it looked, it was so unlike anything else. I believe I paid $7 for it, around 1999. I didn't learn it was part of a game until I brought it to school to show a friend, and another boy in class looked over and say "Do you play Warhammer?".

Space Marine Terminators, Terminators of Space Marines. I bought that edition of Space Hulk from discount books and arts and crafts store; The Works back in the day. Myself and a few friends got a copy each, I'm sure they were about £5 each, brand new and sealed. I remember going back a few days later and asking if they had anymore, and the guy behind the till telling me that as soon as the local Games Workshop found out, everyone had come down to clean them out!

The 'worst' Terminators, painted them as Imperial fists. How fitting! Haha! Iron Within! Edit: Hope you get back to Chaos and paint some Iron Warriors.
  • Space Marine Terminators. Terminator Space Marines. Space Terminators Marines. Marines Terminators Space.
  • ... and a poem to finish! I snap my fingers to you sir clicking sounds
  • My first Space Marines army had a squad of the 1990s era plastic Terminators. They came as part of the Space Marines Battleforce box for 3rd edition. They were adorably cute. Of course, I do also love the two incarnations that came after (the ones still available as the Terminator Assault Squad box, and the newest ones for this 10th edition of 40k).

Imperial Fist contrast paint really is amazing. It and Magmadroth Flame are my favourite way of basecoating yellow and orange. I love how vibrant and saturated they are.

🎶Energy crackles are just enough to slice your foes to apart, Energy crackles are just enough to show off your painting art, They are full of deadly goodness, Your enemies to thwart, Energy crackles as just enough to slice your foes to apart.🎶 The paint job really makes those janky minis sing.
  • @Del_S
They're only the worst because they're not made any more. Loved these minis myself. But yeah, they were a bit lacking.
  • @nolancarey6244
its kinda funny looking at these sculpts and realize that the basic guys are doing the same pose as the epic scale version (i dont know which came first). I was gonna say that they look stiff and can barely move but maybe that was the point.
  • @sumoking3002
Recall in 2nd edition you could rock a 19 model wolf guard squad with assault cannon and cyclone launcher on the same model! Gotta love those codex options that the game devs didn't spot!

A blood angel told me the poem was of the finest quality for a son of Dorn. On reflection I think he was taking the piss.
