It's time for the Claire's Crafty Corner Halloween Collab 2023!
Huge thanks to Claire for doing these amazing open collaborations for creators all over the world to in. It's always great fun seeing what other people create.
My project for this collab is doing a flip on something my neighbours left out for the bin men to collect - a 5 bulb silver ceiling light fitting with glass shades. I love an upcycled project, so as soon as I saw it sitting next to the bin I was thinking it was a shame to see it go when it could be subjected to a gothic / enchanted forest candelabra, so that's what I did in this video!

Materials used:
- Daas air dry clay from The Works
- Some sculpting tools - I used a pallet knife, barbecue skewer and embossing tool
- Black and white acrylic paint, also from The Works
- Some long ivy stems from The Range
- Black fabric roses
- Hot glue
- Battery operated tealight candles

It was a fairly long project to complete because the clay needed time to dry, but it was really simple to do and I think the results are amazing! I hope you enjoy the video.

If that isn't COOOOOOL! I adore it and appreciate that you painted all that ivy, wow!

If you want to have a bark structure you can take a wire brush. This will leave a mark in the clay! Love the idea 😻

It looks amazing! The details are really showing with the paint and the few sneaky hotglue strings looks like spiderwebs that add to it all. I wish I had a large enough dining table to house something like that all year! What I don't like is having "Painting the roses red" on repeat in my head, but that's just me 🤪
