"The fame and praise come year after year, Does nothing for these empty tears" this movie is so beatiful
  • The moment when he´s singing and walking up the hill is without doubt oneof the best moments in the whole movie

I used to reenact this in my room by myself and once I used a long pillow to represent the extending hill thing. As I stepped off my bed to act badass and sing and stuff, I fell and broke my arm. I couldn't even tell my mom what I was doing, it was too embarrassing.😂😂😂

The part where he walks up that hill, silhouetted by the moon never fails to give me goosebumps and chills. This movie is so beautiful.

1:12-1:40 is literally the best part of this song and pretty much makes the movie. So freaken beautiful

2:40 My God this scene is beautiful. The background, the lyrics, the score. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!!
  • It makes sense because Jack is so different from all the other Disney princes. He has this fascinating elegance in his presence. He's sophisticated, polite and interesting. Even his gestures and the way he walks looks so graceful and beautiful. I don't know... a guess I just have a thing for people who are charming like him. Yeah I know that he's actually not a person at all and he's not even real.
  • This lament is so beautiful, I cry. Jack Skellington is my genuine hero.

1:12 ''Oh somewhere deep inside of these bones, an emptiness began to grow. There's something out there far from my home. A longing that I've never known...'' This is my favorite part of this song.

Never can decide on whether I should watch this at Hallowe'en or Christmas. lol
  • Hauntingly beautiful music and Danny's voice. Goosebumps every. Single. Time.
  • I think this movie is fantastic in how Jack, the main character, is portrayed. Most people make main characters with morally likable traits like honesty, humbleness, etc. Here, we see Jack as an arrogant vain character who absolutely has it all when looked at through a certain perspective, yet he feels unhappy with his life (death?) and still wants more, even if it means upsetting a delicate balance and taking what's not his. It gives him so much room to grow in this movie, even when everything goes to shit, his first reaction is more or less, "Oh pity me, I've messed everything up, but pity me!" Then it's "Well it shouldn't be just MY fault!" Just great personality design that breaks the mold. Edit: So apparently in the seven years that this comment existed, Youtube decided not to tell me about it until just now when I received a new comment. And I want to elaborate on this comment further because it looks like (from the comment's section) what I typed out REALLY got misconstrued by a couple of people. People are assuming that because I said Jack is arrogant, vain, and yearning that I think he's a bad character or an unlikable character. NO! I think Jack's charming, endearing, and delightful to watch BECAUSE of these flaws! Everyone missed the part where I said "It gives him so much room to grow in this movie", because while he starts off selfish and malcontent with his life, after having so many downfalls caused by his negative character traits, he takes accountability for his actions ("I hope there's still time to set things right!"), learns to see other people and truly listen to them (Sally), and ultimately reignite the spark in doing what he did best (being the Pumpkin King). And in terms of "a perfect life", when I said that, a lot of people ignored the "when looked at through a certain perspective". WE as the audience can obviously understand he's going through a depression. But no one in HalloweenTown for the life (death?) of them could understand why their beloved Pumpkin King went missing for an entire day after a successful Halloween, and then suddenly came back wanting to do a brand-new and foreign celebration. Jack is not a standard Disney protagonist; he has character flaws that play into his ultimate downfall, and has admirable qualities that help him to rise up again.

"I'm the master of fright, and a demon of light, and I'll scare you right out of your pants." Favorite line from the whole movie right there.
