Larkin Poe closing their set at Merlefest 2024 Friday night.

Most of my MerleFest videos this year were made with my camera and an external Tascam stereo microphone, but a few of them (including this one) were made with my Samsung Galaxy phone using its internal microphone. Unfortunately, the video quality and especially the audio quality of these phone recordings are not nearly as good as those from the camera.

    They are very, very good. I had the opportunity to see them in San Diego in 2023. Simply incredible, no surprise to me they picked up a Grammy! The first of many for them.

    I've played 50+ years in country rock bands, these girls have got it!! I love how the drummer back there was talking and singing to himself, and he never missed a beat!! Hang on to that one!! 8) --gary PS; The bass player did a good job too!! 8)

    There was a large amount of talent at this fest but when Larkin Poe came out and prowled the stage I was left speechless. This video does not do justice to their stage presence. One word, ferocious 😳🎶
