Did Jesus worship Yahweh? Is the God of the Hebrew Scriptures the same as the God about whom Jesus preached and taught? For nearly 2,000 years mainstream Christianity has acted as if they are the same. However evidences in the Gospels and New Testament present a very different view and explain why Christianity has never required observance of Yahwist laws. In THE EDEN CONSPIRACY I present evidence in the Biblical texts themselves that in the beginning Yahweh was not even a Hebrew name for God. Yahweh was something else altogether. If Yahweh was an "ET" or an alien "colonizer," as I argue in THE EDEN CONSPIRACY, then where is Jesus in this picture? Is the truth staring us in the face, hidden in plain sight??

Here is a longer answer fo those interested in how the clearing of The Temple fits with these questions: Jesus' clearing of the temple is one of those moments which sits at odds with the general mainstream Christian view of Jesus and Judaism. What Jesus saw on that day which so enciensed him was only the practice of Yahwist religion. The gospel writers refer to the buying and selling of animals for sacrifice and the money changers who gave Jewish currency for anyone shopping with the currency of the invaders, the Roman currency. Why would the practice of Yahwist temple religion get him so riled? Whose house was it? By the 1st century CE the name YHWH had come to be understood as a word for God. The Hebrew language did not have a word for God as an all-transcendent, spiritual being, the ultimate source of the Cosmos. The Greeks did and called that concept Theos. It is the word used by Jesus and those who wrote for him. It is also the word used by the Septuagint. The Septuagint or LXX was the version of the Bible used by Jesus and those who wrote for him. It comprised the Hebrew canon, translated into Greek, and the addition of some new books with elements of Greek thought pervading some of those books. It too used the word Theos, with its universal connotations. So the popular understanding was that the Jerusalem Temple was "God's house." Jesus described God, referred to him as "Father"" or "Father, the one in the heavens," to be absolutely clear, and addressed God in prayer as Abba (tr. Sir/Father/Dad/Daddy.) When Solomon originally had the Jerusalem Temple built it was a place which commemorated, not only Yahweh, but the whole of the Seba Hassamayim. It had carvings representing those  beings physically, it had the Nehushtan, which I argue in The Eden Conspiracy, was a physical representation of Yahweh, and it had installations dedicated to Asherah. It was the prototype of many temples throughout Judea, some of which were also commissioned by King Solomon, who was responsible for temples to Ahserah and Chemosh and, I think, Milkom. However the Jewish temple building had its roots in Solomon's Temple, which was not for the cult of Yahweh only, it was there to house installations to the panoply of Jewish paleocontact. It was from the C8th-6th BCE that Judaism was reformed and pared down from this kaleidoscopic canon of experiences, entities, ideas and cultic practices to a pattern of Yahwist monotheism, to the exclusion of all else. These reforms brought narrative control, financial control and economic movement all to the centre. Now it was one king and his god, one high priestly family and no other agency of truth, one temple receiving all the country's tithes. By the time of Jesus there was no more monarchy, so all the power was in the hands of the high priestly family and "Herod's Temple" in Jerusalem. These reforms from King Hezekiah to King Josiah, from royal scribe Shaphan and high priest Hilkiah to the senior priest Ezra morphed the entity Yahweh of the early Jewish writings into "the one and only god, to be worshipped and obeyed," a theology which rejected the mainstream jewish view of the C8th-C7th BCE which saw Yahweh as a negative player within the Jewish pantheon. The reform was, whatever the intent, a reversal of that mainstream theology, as described by the books of Jeremiah and I and II Kings, and constituted massive financial and power-grab. When people saw Jesus' anger at the practice of Yahwism at the Jerusalem temple, they may have associated Jesus with the primitive pre-8th century BCE, pre-reform theology of Judaism, which would have been infuriated by the hijacking of the temple by the Yahwist religion of the high priestly family. This was not Solomon's vision of a temple for the whole Jewish people and the whole Jewish panoply. They may have associated Jesus with the hellenised theology of C1stCE Judaism and of the Septuagint with its acknowledgement of a universal God, whose interests transcended every national and religious boundary. Their vision of the temple would be as a house of prayer for the nations, not a money-making, monopoly for Yahwist religion which is what Jesus saw on that day. What they could not have associated Jesus with was the practice of Yahwism at the Jerusalem Temple since, apparently that positively enraged him.in/ that sense they would have seen Jesus as a reformer, wanting a return to the  vision of Solomon, and a moderniser wanting all people to enjoy a connection with Theos in the way he enjoyed. A radical in the truest sense. But as for a C1stCE Yahwist, Jesus did not fit. Hence the sayings I highlight in my documentary "Did Jesus Worship Yahweh?" I hope that is helpful. For a far more detailed treatment of these questions can I point you to my book The Eden Conspiracy which details many of these aspects of the evolution of the Biblical canon.
  • 11:15 I love these passages from Jesus. Regardless of your religion, it is plain to see (at least for me) that Jesus telling those men that they are transparent in what they really worship - sinful acts like Greed and adrenaline rush they get from being in control of everything in the city (with "devil" simply meaning "evil"). Jesus showed in many actions how he valued Love over everything else, and when you truly, unconditionally Love, you cannot be driven by Greed or Power/Entitlement like Pharisees. And I LOVE that Jesus was Mr. Snarky McSassypants to the Pharisees when they questioned why he helped people. Regardless of your religion, Jesus was real and he set a great example for how we should behave if we want a truly peaceful heart.

Paul, I have no words but thank you. THIS IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT, ITS TRANSFORMATION.
  • @salemhailu11-11
I grew up in Jéhovah's witnesses family and I asked a lot of questions for which I was reprimanded constantly. I always knew something was off. Thanks for the evidence-based lecture that makes perfect sense.
  • @NipWhipple
This isn't blasphemy, it's what we're supposed to know. A real god wants you to explore for the truth. I love this. This scares a lot of people but I'm just interested and glued.
  • Thank you! I have always had so many questions since I was little about the Old testament. My mother used to make me read every night. What you have taught us is the most sense I've ever made of it. My thanks! Much love to you❤❤❤❤
  • @leelee4990
This aligns with what we're currently seeing happening in Gaza.
  • @ericezekwem5659
Wow! How did I find myself on this channel? This is completely astonishing and overwhelming. I never believed that all these my long controversies about the Old Testament bible could be unraveled. You have answered in more revealing ways a million different questions in my heart. Dabbling into this your video, is like reading a thousand books. You have opened me up for research that I never knew how and where to begin. Now you have given me substance. Thank you very much, Paul. Let the study begin.
  • I am 76. At 30 when I came out of the Baptist church in agony screaming "this Can't be God! Through the years I have searched for that answer. I have found many truths that helped me see portions of that answer, but you have put it into the truth truth...There are no words to say how much you mean to so many. Thank you, truly does not suffice.
  • @roddevere2975

  • @bkm2797
This explanation was so profound, and the more I learn from you the real translation of the Bible the more positive I feel about it in general. This is life changing material Paul, and I hope we can help others see that there is a better way for us all to live. Thank you so much!

This was an eye opening moment. It confirms many things I felt by my limited knowledge & understanding of the Bible/religions in 30 mins. I’ve been thinking of this for many years. ❤ and good energy to you.
  • @bryanscott438
This is what the internet was made for, to educate and enlighten. Fantastic job paul, humanity is lucky to have you

I’ve been watching The 5th Kind, Paul Wallis, and Mauro Biglino videos which explain the Old Testament and reveal the powerful ones and their actions on our planet. I was left despairing with the notion that human beings are just future compost and nothing more than playthings for the powerful. I lost hope of continuation of life after death or even continuation of consciousness. It was despair that took me by surprise because I had given up on the Bible and God 50 years ago. As a young adult, I couldn’t understand, let alone worship, a god who would delight in the brutal deaths of people who weren’t part of the “chosen ones” in my church who shared that delight. This video is turning that despair on its head. Dare I hope for good things to come? This video is a seed thought of good things to come. Thank you sincerely Paul. 🙏
  • @jimbos1567
My God. Once again you have opened my mind, and also answered a lot of questions. I have spent nearly 80 years being confused and asking many questions. Thank you so much for this wonderful series of discovery.
  • @ellooku
Any Christian that do not understand this, I do not know what else he/she will understand. Well documented with facts and details from the Bible. Spirituality is the way. Christianty needs transformation. It pains the word Christ was used to promote their agenda to control and exploit the world. They are lucky our God is not like YHWH but all loving. One Love from Nigeria.❤❤❤.
  • @jaz5584
Paul, This was such an eye opener and makes perfect sense! While schooled by the Adventist church, during my elementary education, I was getting completely confused by God's brutality and constant mentions of the "Wrath of God." Then, I attended a Catholic school, during my middle and high school years, and stories of Jesus seemed so contradictory to what I had heard from the Old Testament. I would love to hear more about your insights on Jesus' origin and the Universal God. I would also love to hear about your insights on Jungian theories of God, as our collective consciousness.
  • @jeffgreene17
Thank you Paul for sharing your research and for being so incredibly articulate in the ways you express this information. You are doing a great service for humanity.
  • You're amazing Paul. I studied as a Jehovah's Witness, now I understand why I couldn't do it. I can never read Ezekiel without seeing a space rover. Once you see it, you can't un-see it.
  • @truthgambit
This makes me so happy because it finally makes sense to me. I have struggled over the inconsistancy between the old and new Testaments, and this has pushed me away from Christianity.
