Published 2022-12-04
Elon took fail early learn often to another level. Mass layoffs, top execs resigning, and a "reimagined" Twitter Blue.

Better watch out for the Elon simps that'll come at you for that title.
  • I gave up Twitter several years ago. Never looking back, especially now.
  • @maxxxxxxy
watched the entire video, your video title says "twitter is dying" but at no point do you talk about it dying at all or anything about the userbase decreasing, you also mentioned about Kanye coming back, but he has been suspended again for his weird anti-semitic posts/behaviour before you even uploaded the video. I think most people will also find it hard to feel any sort of sympathy for people on six figure salaries losing out on a free $400 lunch. There are other points I disagree and agree with, but I think those boil down to personal views of politics etc. Perhaps worth making another video 3 months after takeover to see the differences. I don't think a single month of a takeover is enough to say the website is "dying" when it has had all time high usage, the website was losing money for years, the IPO price started at $26 and within a decade had only a peak of $77, awful performance in comparison to FB, google stock for example. On top of that, you should look into the type of person Jack Dorsey was when he took over as Twitter CEO. Supposably outed the co-founder Noah, who was in the middle of a divorce, behind his back. My personal view on the layoffs is that many of them were deserved whether that be for interference with political incidents, misuse of employee tools or paying people 6 figures to do the least amount of work they can and be extremely comfortable on someone else's dime. Just because they unbanned some controversial people doesn't mean the site is "dying". Look how long Twitter held onto Donald trump because he attracted so much attention to the website. I write this as long time user of the website (not as an elon musk d,ckrider)

Thanks for your videos! I have a question what is the name of the website you referenced a few videos ago about tech salaries, I think you entered a company name and it gave a break down of the compensation using pie charts. Thanks Again

Seeing the community Twitter created, I believe this was deserved.
  • @bonoweb3
yet they are at their highest daily average users

I enjoyed your commentary and hope you make sure. Some of the comments I read were coming across very “shut up and dribble”-ish. Maybe I was reading too much into it. Keep up the great work.

Hey, Jeremiah, would love to hear your comments on Salesforce/Slack recent layoffs
  • I’m in the middle of wanting to be a firefighter or tech. I already work as a volunteer firefighter and a project manager in Oil & Gas. Any advice for someone in this position? Do you think you can volunteer and still work in tech? Do you have to be a tech “nerd” to be good at this? I ride motorcycles, train in combat and firearms, etc.

Hey man I am in the military I just finished a coding tdy. What made you decide to get out and do you regret it.
  • @CodingPhase
Bro there's was a bunch of people on twitter that weren't doing sh8t literally getting paid to do the minimum. The app barely had any features or any things being added in years. The only good thing twitter has it's that it scales when big events are happening. But as far as a platform they never focused on making money or taking risk. There shouldn't be a tiktok if twitter didn't delete vine... even at that... vine should of been a major feature to twitter. The've dropped the ball a million times. Trust me I'm a long time twitter investor and been watching the platform for a long time.
  • I think it is what it is. Whenever someone takes over a company this always happens so it was nothing surprising at all. Many of these fired or layoff employees actually deserved it. It is more neutral now than it was before. Before it was way worse and politically bias to one side only. In the next few months I bet you will see a huge difference than now.
  • This was such a great breakdown of the entire situation! Loved the Bezos bit. Don't let trolls, who literally define themselves by the words of a billionaire that doesn't know they exist, get you down. ❤️
  • Twitters is a bit of a mess right now but I wouldn’t be surprised if becomes one of the biggest social media / entertainment apps in a couple years
  • I don't think there has ever been a single person who like Elon has done a full on 180 in terms of perception. The guy went from tech wunderkind to an attention-loving Reddit mod on steroids in like a few years. Anyway, great vid

Why do you think any of those people coming back on twitter is wrong?
