SECURITY HAS NEVER STOPPED DESTROYING ME UNTIL NOW SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE ENDING: Name: Angels of Death I promise I didn't research and study all this because I was coping to the max... definitely not. As the video stated, In an interview with the author, he said that both Zach and Rachel survived. It's also important to state that this show is also based on a novel and a steam game by the same name. There are many theories about what really happened in the ending, so let's begin by explaining the last scene in the show. In the last scene, the episode showed body sauce on the wall, and at first, it may seem like it might be Rachel's blood after Zach Killed her. However, they were already outside the room, so the body sauce can't somehow magically bounce back inside and drip cleanly on the side of the wall. This was Zach's body sauce because he broke the glass, and it began dripping down the wall, and it was also made clearer in the video game because you see the blood appearing on the wall as soon as he enetered. The reason I had to include this part is because I had to alter the ending in this video to make that clear, since the show made it more confusing because the blood appeared out of no where. Additionally, many people theorized that this was all part of Rachel's imagination after hearing that Zach was sentenced to death. This is because Zach somehow had his scythe fully repaired in the last scene, even though it had broken earlier, and it would be physically impossible for a human to escape the police and break iron bars with a scythe. To that, you guys need to remember this is a fictional anime show. Gray was already casting some magical gas that somehow made Rachel envision everything he wanted her to see, Danny was out here with two eyeballs in on eye, and Zach had already also broken through Iron Bars and even a giant boulder when they were trying to escape. The scythe was a manifestation of his will, and as Gray said, Zach had only used his scythe his entire life for killing people and tearing down what was in his way, so it shattered when he used his scythe to save someone instead. However, when he wanted to shatter what was in his way to save Rachel, a new Scythe manifested, one to save others. As for why Zach would break his promise to Rachel, that's because the authors have placed tens of different small actions that indicated it along the way. This story literally had more character development than whatever worthless book english teachers assign you. The first subliminal actions were how he saved her from the miniguns in Cathy's floor when they entered, and put his own life in danger for her. The second point that proves he cared about Rachel is how he carried her to the exit, when he could've just ran away on his own and finally got the freedom he desired from the beginning of when they met. Instead, when they got out, he begged her to wake up, and even surrendered himself to the police so that she could be taken to a hospital to get treated. At this point, he had completely stopped being selfish, and gave up his own life to save Rachels. He even gave her the knife from his childhood, even though he'd never given anything to anyone in his life, but the last clip of the show zoomed in on the knife, to show that he left it behind, just like his old life of killing. However, the most important thing is that Zach had constantly claimed he would never lie, yet he told his first lie when saying that he didn't know Rachel to protect her, breaking the promise the oath he made to himself of never being a liar. Zach hated liars to the point of killing them, yet he himself became a liar to save Rachel, and lied about their own promise to save her in the end.
