You can take the four bolts on the side of the real off and turn it around if you wanna position the stop at different spots.

I have used PEM in my garage but of course you need to make sure that you do NOT have warm air from the compressor going out. And in my case its cooled before entering the hose. Those i have is max 16 bar and my compressor is max 8 bar out so its far off :) proper distribution of air and electricity is so important so you dont haver to pull long extensioncords everywhere. Put an outlet instead :) Good Work!

I have been looking to upgrade my shop air system and this video was great. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome work space! I just subscribed...
  • I just mounted the hose reel I had lying around for a while to my garage ceiling last week. I also added an air regulator dryer by the compressor. I would suggest changing out your 1/4 fittings to High Flow, it really makes a big difference especially with the distance you're running. I used Flexilla brand, they also have cheaper aluminum ones.

"bent around my bicep..." LMAO!!! Had to pause the video until I could stop laughing.

@Zero To Awesome Something you may not have thought of by moving the Air Compressor is your delta (difference) in temperature between the inside of the Tank and outside the tank. You've now created a higher Delta Temperature between the two. Which now means more condensation inside of your tank because of this. This means it will rust faster if it's a steel tank from the inside out. Just make sure you are emptying the tank after you are done using the compressor for the day; this should help mitigate this issue. You could install an air dryer between the compressor and the tank to help reduce this issue even further.

I mounted my two hose reels at 9’. I’m 6’6. I do like your idea of regulators at each reel. The reel up front the regulator could go on the manifold allowing the reel to be placed at any height or orientation. Complements on a very nice work space.

One thing you need to seriously consider when getting a knockoff water hose from china is if they used formaldehyde anywhere in the process. Generally that is the most costly step in purification so they just don't do it. Look up the katrina mobile homes, dog food processed in china, cheap clothing etc. If you have even the slightest bit of acidic water it will leach out as the water runs and kill your plants/ruin the soil.

You have a lift in your garage. And you don't have a replacement o ring. So hard to have everything. And be able to find it when you need it.

The look is so clean. Could have mounted the compressor up on the wall so it wouldn't have taken up floor space in the small room.

Awesome vid!! A like for sure. Can you share with us the size of your garage (LxWxH)? Looks real clean and nice 👍

I like checking out new stuff and I hope it works well for who uses this type system. I have installed several types of systems on jobs, my theory is the K.I.S.S. method "keep it simple stupid" and use what I already use like In my house that I already have stock for saving space but that's just me.
  • You can get moisture drains that intermittently fire off. I actually bought a husky brand from a bin store

This is exactly the next thing I’m doing in my teeny tiny “shop”. I was going to make a video about it but now I don’t have to - I’ll just link this one.

I installed a different brand 5+ years ago. No issues with the o-rings. You can buy the blocks that you can mount the tubing from the rear. One item I would like to change on my system. I would like to add a shutoff valve prior to the block. Sometimes my oldest reel will leak at the rotary union.
  • Simply put from a 30 yr Master ASE never run over 120. Never have seen nore that that used even for Heavy Equipment or Aircraft (KC-135). I do realize compressors are a bit noisy but over 35 years of listening to them is far less annoying than using my EVO choo saw.
