The thing about dunkey is that so many of his videos have practically infinite rewatch value. He's one of the only youtubers who will upload a video that I want to watch 3 times in the same day. So for every 5 minute dunkey video he nets like 30 minutes to a few hours of watch time from me.

A year later, Dunkey was right. His channel grew by 450k subs, while other similar channels that did crude, lazy daily uploads grew by millions. Just a sad state.
