Drop Foot in MS #shorts

Do you have drop foot as a symptom of MS?! If you don’t... are you SURE that you don’t?!

A good amount of my clients with MS have drop foot 🦶 without even realizing it...

They’ll find scuff marks on their shoes (or even holes 😱🫣!!)

Or they’ll tell me they need to replace their shoes 👟 every 6 months or every year due to wear & tear.

Guys... that’s a sign that the way your ankle and foot is moving when you’re walking is affecting your gait!

The downside to not knowing you have drop foot (aka: not knowing that the wear & tear, scuff marks, and holes could be due to drop foot) is that if you’re unaware you have it, then you won’t know what exercises are best for you!

In this video, I explain where to look for signs of drop foot & wear and tear, like:

👉 front of your shoe
👉 bottom of your shoe

And of course EVERYONE can get wear & tear on their shoes... not JUST people with MS...

It’s just that if you have MS + you have these wear and tear spots (especially on one foot vs. both) there’s a high liklihood that you could have drop foot + exercises like ankle dorsiflexion and calf stretching can help!

I have some foot when I first noticed walking changes 20 years ago. My foot was clipping the ground. I bing I noticed it, I started focusing on it and it's not as bad. I'm going to try your videos to improve it even more.

I have foot be drop in n both feet. My right foot is worse than my left foot. About 5 years ago, my neurologist noticed my right foot toes were curled under. I had suspected that I had foot drop but I researched the topic and found that I didn’t have it. Hint- I did have it. I only could wear sandals at the time. Finally found a pair of socks that I could wear and a pair of shoes. And got my first afo. And got then an afo for left foot.

Can you have it to some extent in both feet? I'm pretty sure I have it in my left, but my right foot is suspect as well.

I have it 🙄 trip over my toe. I wear flip flops as they’re light or foot brace to lift it up.
