HOW TO MAKE ENCOUNTER RATE 50% INSTEAD OF 5: Have a pokemon with a static effect in your party! I was grinding in the same spot for half an hour, went out and caught a Magnemite for my party, and 2 out of my 3 encounters immediately after (in this location) were Pichu's.

Tip: Get Pokémon Bank and catch a Pichu in sun or moon and transfer it over
