President Biden announced Sunday that he's dropping out of the 2024 presidential race. In a statement, he said it's in the "best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.

TRUMP LATEST NEWS: Former President Donald Trump's campaign team released an update on the Republican candidate's health after he survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson offered new details on the nature including that Trump sustained a gunshot injury that was 'less than a quarter of an inch from entering his head.'

The new information revealed the track of the bullet 'produced a 2 cm wide wound that extended down the cartilaginous surface of the ear.'

NEXT: The Secret Service Director has agreed to testify at a House hearing probing the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee had subpoenaed Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to testify before the board and in front of Congress as the investigation into the assassination attempt continues.
