  • I always look forward to your videos, informative and to the point. I must admit I have a tent camping addiction lol. Having said that I have approximately 7 tents all for different purposes and climates all but one are dome. The smaller ones are for beach camping in Baja and have withstood 60 mph winds, impressive. The bigger ones are more for the mountains where I’m less exposed to wind but more possibilities of rain. These days lots of dome tents don’t use sleeves anymore but hooks making it easier to pitch by myself. Actually the only one I have that’s not a dome is a Gazelle which is amazing dry in downpours and fairly good in wind but not as solid as the typical dome does in wind. Thanks again for your video.

Dome tents. 2 simple poles. First connect the pole segments then bend and put in pockets.

I am glad I found your video and feel your enthusiasm for the humble dome tent. In a world of fancy framed stand-alones and trekker pole ultralights the dome tent doesn't get a look in. For me the dome tent is easy and quick to pitch, moveable when time is short and the weather is closing in. Crucially, you don't have to rely on complicated staking out when the ground may be hard . Anyway, great video and btw I like your accent! Greetings from England.

Thank you. I have one dome left. It's a three man tent. 8 lbs. I used to use it for family camping but haven't had it out for years. Maybe I should. Great ideas. Thanks 😊
