Extremely violent straight line winds from a squall line that approaches from the south. While I was filming this the same gust of wind picked a trampoline up from the back of a house down the street and threw it over their house, across the street and into the volleyball net.

Wait, some people here are skeptical about these being straight line winds? If you ask me, this certainly looks like it exceeds severe status, even if it doesnt cause MASS DESTRUCTION like some people think it needs to have to be considered straight-line. While straight-line winds are no laughing matter, a storm that exceeds severe status is really the only criteria needed for it to be considered straight-lined. Especially at around 2:23
  • If you get another bad storm please record it because I love watching storm videos!! 💨🌪⛈
  • A squall line is a line of severe thunderstorms with high winds, hail, lots of cloud to ground lightning and very heavy rain. These storms also produce tornadoes.

Just an average summer storm where I come from.
  • not sure if these are really are straight-line winds, at least not by NSSL's definition, but if they are you were lucky to be quite far from the point of the microburst or downburst that caused them. if these were confirmed to be straight-line winds then they must've just barely made it past the 50mph minimum. usually winds at that speed at least break tree branches and knock over most freestanding objects which i saw little evidence of here.

Nice video... always exciting to see strong storms. But it doesn't look like much more than 50 mph...which is strong, but generally not damaging.

Really? That little bit of wind impressed you?

Hey Seth, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) :) Cheers, Felix
