⚠ please watch Da whole video before u comment ur opinions and hate letters 💅 ALSO i wanted to talk a little more abt the NC series briefly cus i felt like i didnt explain it good enough (READ b4 u comment abt NC levels) (also watch the vid first so it makes sense lolz): YES the NC series did become repetitive and bland, and i think some people might see that and think of it as proof of asset reuse hindering artistic potential, going against everything i said, but that is NOT TRUE!! ❌ the real truth is that thoughtful asset reuse WAS the reason for any ARTISTIC innovation in NC levels. (the reason any cool ones were ever made- they took the original assets and built on them with creative spin, met with clear respect to the OG level, all fitting my definiton) any of that bland, repetitive nature of the levels came down to people cashing in on free creator points, building off the stuff i talked about at the end of the video. just like the line series! nothing to do with asset reuse as i preached it, but a problem of the rate system So yeah, everything to do with the rate system once again, and a clear parallel of the whole thing with the line series, just in the past. not an issue of asset reuse, but an issue of creator point farming. OFC if u watched the video to the end u know what im talking about so i better not see angry comments abt NC levels :).... sorry i didnt explain that very well in the video! anyway i hope u guys liked it!!!! :D LOVE U ALL!❤

No, the Dancing Line Level Trend is not the iconic nine circles easy demon named Problematic
  • @liamcomix
I mean, we all stole assets from Stereo Madness.
  • @Sp4rce
Watched the whole video! Just wanna say thanks for covering the topic in a way that doesn't just say "bad" "worst trend" or words to that meaning. I've got some things to comment on so here they are:) I just wanna say as well that I'm not on twitter or any other socials except discord and YouTube, so people can make whatever posts they want and only hear one person's perspective. I think when it comes to morals, I want to make something very clear. I don't make these levels for creator points, or for downloads, or any of that. I make them because I genuinely love the game "Dancing Line" and I want to keep it alive through geometry dash. That has always been the goal and the purpose of these levels. I also want to point out that the level remakes were voted on by the players, so to hear that so many of them don't like remakes is a bit hypocritical... I mean what do you expect? ● Dancing Line, Dashing Line, Typhoon and all of my upcoming levels don't reuse assets Let's address tidal line first. Yes it reuses assets. Yes I did not contact OniLink for permission. Yes it shouldn't have been featured (but again, that's a problem with the rate system and not with me) Despite what people say, the level is far from lazy, it took me 2 painstaking weeks to build and easily like 50 hours in the editor working between a full time job and wanting to make yt videos upload daily. It was hard. I gave credit to Oni and Zoink at the end screen and in the description of the level and the video. The reusing of assets wasn't to rip off the level, it was to make the level more faithful to the original, that's what remakes are all about:) Next up is Line Circles, this took a couple of assets such as the iconic diagonal structures with 2 spikes, and I turned them into 3d, nothing major. It also took the gray background which I could've easily made but chose not to. I want to just quickly mention all of the nine circles RATED remakes as well that literally take the drop and turn it a different colour... I just took the drop and made it 3d, again nothing unusual for the nine circles remakes category, I wanted to make it exactly the same while also making it equally as chaotic! ReLinE literally just took a few pixel art aliens, everything else was made by me. Don't see any huge issues here 🙃 Linegregation took the same block design and structures, and made them 3D, It hasn't been rated yet and I don't think it will be, but yeah, we'll see. I also just want to note that if the original creators have an issue with any of my levels and the taken assets, its completely within their right to contact me and we can sort something out (even if it means a take down) They all know where to find me and haven't contacted me yet, so yeah. Again, thanks for covering the video in a more open minded way and discussing the issue as a whole rather than singling out one creator, as there's plenty of other creators who have much more cp and have blatantly copied entire levels let alone just assets. I don't condone any sort of stealing if you aren't going to do something unique with it, and I've made something completely original with the assets and haven't just out right stole them for a free cp farm.
  • @Flaaroni
The asset stealing part is unfathomably based. I think a big reason why so many gd people hate asset stealing is because many think effort is indicative of a level's quality, so stealing assets feels like cheating to them. I wish people cared more about the context and ideas behind the level
  • @caveman380
I feel like "stealing" assets only becomes problematic if it causes harm to the original work. I believe these line levels are clearly meant to promote the original levels, and are a funny way to connect community together. Great video, very well thought out and respectful :)
  • @Polygd
I dont really hate the levels just the fact that tidal line got featured above tidal wave getting star rate.
  • "Popular mobile game" These words literally melted my heart, as a Dancing Line player I thought that this game was dead and inactive... Thank you
  • @proxytheobbyist
Why do people hate these levels? As an OG Dancing Line player from 2017, these levels hit me with a wave of nostalgia. People should stop getting so heated over little things like this. the hell why is this attracting so many people
  • @theILLIT
20:04 I love that "IN FI NI TY" by AudieoVisual is up there and you say you don't know if those levels are repetitive. For context, the level infinitely repeats itself until the player finds one of a few secret exits, allowing them to win. Great video btw, I found this stuff really interesting and it was presented in a really nice way. I honestly agree with all of your points here. Thanks for making this!
  • @sg2126
Gotta love how it ended up being an accidental critique on mega corporations valuing profit over morality
  • @gjoe5322
The main issue I have with line levels is that dancing line is its own concept and should be used to make original deco on top of, not necessarily used as a base to put other levels' designs onto, solely because its a 'dancing line' version. Even though platformer levels play very differently to normal levels (like dancing line levels), I feel like more people would have a problem with, say, a 'congregation but platformer' level. I wouldn't mind its existence so long as it doesn't get rated. If it did though, why would anyone try to make anything new for creator points when they can take an already popular level and turn it into a different type of game?
  • @clobzz
The first one was good, after that it just became a trend for easy rates, i really liked the original mobile game tho, played it a while ago
  • @Prometheus_Alt
On the second part, I do want to see you elaborate on how much power creators can have over others making remakes/reusing assets before it becomes a legitimate issue. Because the first thing that came to my mind is how people frown upon Disney for taking down projects that reuse their assets is frowned upon, while these same people don't do the same for GD levels.
  • @XtnctGD
Fire video it was fun watching.Your videos never disappoint.I really like the typhoon its original and it also has normal gp.The other levels were good at first but now they are getting boring linegregation introduced the dual and i really liked it it looked notjing like the other levels. These are the three best line levels imo:The typhoon,Linegregation and Dashing line i really like those three levels.
  • @yavidhi
great points and great presentation btw the hard part about creator consent is determining what ideas taken from a level require creator consent. for example, using the same basic blocks as someone else is generic enough; that block combination doesnt "belong" to them. but using a structure design from them could land you in gd jail. like you said, where do you draw the (dancing) line?
  • @xypnosii
It's the nine circles drama all over again. it went full circle.
