    I just love the artstyle in Ponyo, it's almost as if a child has coloured it in. And so playful and light. Like looking through the world through a child's eye. Thank you for the playlist buuu. Really made my day.πŸ’™ And a REALLY big thank you to the composers who made these delights for us to listen too.

    Joe hisaishi’s composition in ponyo is chill inducing. Those wind instruments that sounds like bubbles are magical

    This is legitimately one of the best playlists on this site. Different composers yet the same whimsical and relaxed sound, all instrumentals with no interruptions or jarring changes, uplifting and beautiful yet also calm. I'm obsessed with this playlist, well done!

    my ap 2d project is on how children percieve the world and how innocent and naive their view of the world is when they are young, and this playlist is exactly how i imagine all my art pieces and exactly what im trying to show through my art

    The Little Mermaid main title song always gets me cus it's so good 😩
  • it’s a small thing, but i just listened to this playlist while i quietly got ready in my college dorm in the dark at 6 am, trying to not wake up my roommates, and the way i saw so much beauty in just the small blue light that came from the microwave and seeing my shadow in my closet just folding my clothes was just…i don’t know if i have too many words to describe it, but you made me see so much genuine, unbreakable magic within one of the simplest mundanities of my day and for that i thank you as deeply as i do to the moon for shining in the sky ;v;

    Where i come from, whenever you are you can see the sea. Now i'm far away from home, from my family. This playlist gives me so much joy. Especially the Little Mermaid part, I remember when we used to watch it with my mom who clearly enjoyed this movie way more than me.
  • If you've ever tried to analyze the background of the water wizard it's more interesting than you think. He eventually fell in love with a sea goddess. Was cursed to always be in water like a fish. Uses his magic to create a breathable atmosphere. His kids are half fish half human. The fish side showing more than the human. His kids obviously hate him as he restrains them in a confined area because their mother is too busy managing the sea affairs and eco system. It's also curious how old is he if you look at the dates of the jars in his well area that manages his home. He uses an old city remains that were destroyed in the great flood and might be a descendent of that society.

    the only thing more whimsical that this playlist is an actual ghibli film. thank you πŸ’•

    I adored Ponyo as a child, I would always sit on the couch with a big fuzzy blanket and some hot chocolate and watch it. My mom bought it for me when I was little, I used to watch it almost daily. That movie gave me so many memories, and it has become one of my favorites to watch when I am feeling down. This playlist is special to me, thank you so much for making it. :)
