Man, I miss Kobayashi in Nathan's hog dog eating contest. Didn't like how he got treated by MLE and the U.S fans. It was supposed to be about eating competitor vs eating competitor until they turned the shit into US vs Japan BS. Takeru only wanted to be accepted by the U.S fans and feel welcomed but it wasn't at all. Every time I see Nathan's eating place or brand I always think of the great Kobayashi and not Joey Chesnut.

I saw this guy in Coney Island in 2006, he had the brassy yellow hair and won that year. I still have his autographed inflatable glizzy. Really graceful competitive eater.
