9:25 "The money you spend on shampoo could likely pay another person's rent" 10/10 character I'm dying
  • @-Mute
If only Romeo's parents named him Bedman, he would still be in Strive this is so sad
  • @Wolvahulk
One of my favorite character tropes is "little girl protected by monster" and thats why Strive's depiction is my favorite. Though, I admit that "redditor with a downvote on his head, stuck to a bed" is quite funny.

When the circle went "no... you cant see the radiant light" i actually got chills
  • "This will be on the test, and the test is blocking this overhead" I'm not sure if it was intentional, but this made me laugh since it was said with the cadence and tone of Xrd Bedman

Hello, In case you're wondering because you didn't mention it, Bedman is called Romeo and his sister Delilah because it was the name of 2 of Freddie Mercury's cats. Also yeah, Bedman is cool, definitiely one of the most unique characters in the history of fiction

I haven't heard Bedman's dub before and man is it nice. The fast pace talking really sounds like the racing train of thought of someone with an incomprehensible amount knowledge
  • So according to Chaos in his arcade dialogue, Bedman manages to 'delete his own 'ID', becoming a multidimensional being. Based on that information, I think that by dying in Xrd, he simply lost his direct connection to this reality. Now, what I believe is that Bedman doesn't necessarily physically transcend dimensions, but rather can upload his consciousness to other dimensions, like the Dream World. Now, his consciousness has retreated back into the Dream World, where he still has control over the Bed. I believe the Bed is controlled remotely, whether Bedman is in the physical realm or not. The Bed itself is badly damaged in Strive, and I am willing to bet Bedman lost a good deal of power upon his physical death. This could explain the Bed's lack of empathy, and only does anything to protect Delilah. I am curious to see what Arcsys does with Bedman in the future, and if they do explain what is going on with 'Romeo'.

Bedman did get mentioned once in Strive before the DLC story happened in one of Ramlethal's taunt conversations she has with her companion Lucifero, where she states how she learned how important uniqueness and cherishing the little things are from Sin and Bedman. Cute little mention that you wouldn't ever be able to hear in an actual match

Freddie Mercury had several cats and 2 of them were named Delilah and Romeo so that might be the inspiration.
  • As a very recent Bedman appreciator this was a really fun watch, I was looking forward to Bedman in Strive so I gave them a try in Xrd while I was waiting and just kinda accidentally stumbled upon one of my new favourite characters to play in any fighting game, everything about them clicked with me
  • English Dub of GG is really good imo. All the voices are fitting and I personally prefer Happy Chaos in English over the more quiet Japanese dub.

I swear to god Guilty's lore os so dense i have like a schizo notebook where i try to connect all the missing links we have until now
  • A small correction S-Ko is not possessing Zappa because he is her boyfriend S-Ko mistook Zappa for her boyfriend and is now possessing him because she was betrayed by him, and she wanted revenge. Zappa just coincidentally happened to look EXACTLY like her boyfriend

Chipp wasnt taught by the otter, he was trained by a human ninja named Tsuyoshi who was killed by the assassins before the events of the first game. The otter is one of May's sea creature friends who hes teaching ninjutsu

Personally, i love every fucking characcter in this series. Even happy chaos, the dude that if i see in game i will put my hands through the screen and choke the other player. I love the personality, dude talks like hes writing a book. "Is this the end?! Or a fake out?!" "Theres always act 2.." "cant get rid of me..."
  • My theory was always that Bedman is dead, but that as he woke up his brain was no longer limited by sleep (the whole reason he needed to stay asleep is that his brain is so powerful and advanced, it would overheat itself and kill him if he isn't constantly suppressed by unconsciousness), and in his last moments he reprogrammed the bed to protect his sister. Personally I find it a lot more poetic if Bedman "moved outside the circle" (the circle being Samsara) not by just choosing not to die, but instead putting his final will into the bed to carry his will. And I read the "you can't see the radiant light, you can't hear the beautiful chant, you can't feel the tender warmth" more as him realizing he is dying and is facing oblivion, never to experience the world again. But despite that, he'll struggle to move outside the circle and protect his sister with his last will. This also makes the last lines of the song "I'm here, I'm here" incredibly fucking sad because Bedman himself is gone, but his will is still there for his sister and he wants her to know that he will still look out for her. Dunno I like it more thematically. I'm not really a fan of characters cheating death, which is why I was happy that they made Jack-O stay as her own person instead of becoming revived Aria.
