there were two halves of this community during 2016-2019. the major half was made up of the skilled people - the people whose names you'd hear everywhere. the people who were in everything. the people we admired. the other half were the unskilled people - the viewers, the followers. they couldn't draw or animate, and every time they tried they would pretty much fail. though, they would still make up fun ocs and scenarios in their heads and pretended. (i was part of the 2nd half)

now that im a vocaloid fan i finally realize that most songs used for animation memes were vocaloid songs im so proud of myself

I have never left the animation community, never. But the animation community the past few years had been making me uncomfortable, with tons of pedos, groo*mers and many other. So listening to this playlist kind of made me cry and reminded me back of 2015-2017 The animation community now is fucked up.

The fact Tik Tok it's actually bringing back this community makes me feel anxious for the things that could happen, if you know what I mean.

when i was 8, i stumbled apon the community. I aspired so much to be like them. I'd try my best, and wished so hard that years later I'd be able to draw as good as them. It happened, finally, but now its too late. All the good animators are barely active, and I've seen the mostly disgusting, shitty animation memes about pedophilia and self harm and sadism. I wish so bad I had been born years earlier. So nowadays, I gave up on that dream and now i aspire to be an animator when im older; i cant let those 6 years of drawing and animating go to waste, after all.

This reminds me of when I was younger. I was in the community and it helped me through covid. Imagining my fun little characters getting up to shenanigans, being angsty and wild. I still have a character of mine from then, he is special to me and was a puppet of what I wished I could have been, it helped me realize im ok the way I am, im not flawless but im far from horrible (I think). I had so much confidence and dreams then. I still have the dream from then to become a cartoonist. This certain character was who I was online, he represented everything I couldn't be (he was also obviously the main character). Ah the old days of giving innocent kids trauma and god like powers whilst being a hybrid usually. The angst and drama we put them through is truly amazing, Id like to think of these songs mashed together as their national anthem in the little head spaces that we have, like a world where they all meet. Some are retired now but id like to think they are all friends and get along, its silly but comforting to know something so special to random people gets along with my silly character. I sometimes close my door and make my bed and then use my headset/earphones and listen to these animations playlists, I look up at my ceiling and just daydream about my ocs doing stuff lmao, since I can never animate I just use that imagination it keeps my mind busy while I’m bored or trying to sleep- This playlist is perfect! No sped up songs, no cuts at the ends, actually good songs then other overrated songs (kinda lol) and generally something I enjoy listening too

I started watching animation memes in elementary and today i am now going to college still pursuing art amd drawing because of how much inspiration the people who made these animations gave me. This playlist is my whole childhood and nothing brings me kore happiness than the nostalgia all these are giving me and reminding all the animations in my head

I used to love being this community, I don’t go into this community that much it, but hold a special place in my heart!
