Slight correction: There was one Hightower on Game of Thrones — Gerold Hightower (served on the Kingsguard for Aerys II Targaryen)— who was killed by Ned Stark outside the Tower of Joy in Dorne.
  • @ilovemesomme
They killed their king, made former stewards their overlord, they upended their city as being the most important on the continent, and warred against the Faith of the Seven.

also the targaryens are motivated by prophecy and magic the hightowers are more set in traditional knowledge and science plus theres theories the maesters were behind the destruction of old valyria so the hightowers vs targaryens is a beef thats existed over a thousand years since its really science vs magic

It's almost as if these two Houses are a perfect foil for each other. 😂
  • This family drama kinda reminds me of the strife between House Lannister and House Baratheon involving the Starks in between except in this show will heavily focus on the Hightowers and House Targaryen in a similar fashion
  • @HACKTACULAR.
“Oh, Seven hells!” 😂😂 gets me every time!

Absolutely brilliant fucking analysis, mad kudos. I can't wait to watch the rest of your back-catalogue!
  • How is allicent against incest when she allowed her son to marry his younger sister?
  • @thespringis
Good video explaining a lot to me about family
  • @holubowichb
One thing I don’t understand is the Hightowers obviously don’t like incest. But then have their offspring of Alicent and Viserys(Aegon and Helaena )marry and have kids?????
  • This is why Daemon is by far my favorite character, he calls out the Hightowers directly to their face what they are. Parasites

Great video guys! Looking forward to HotD season 2 and more recap videos!!!
  • Thank you for this video Ryan love learning more about powerhouse in westeros aside fr om Lannister, tyrell , and martel it great you highlight how their actions differ from house of targaryan, and how that led to their postion in main series ,and in HotD because it tend to focus on less political strategies that overlook these flaw that influence the story.

2:42 Because having dragons in Westeros was like having nuclear weapons in our world. 🤯
