  • I had a outdoor commercial job for a car wash. The owner only wanted to replace the drivers in speakers that are pre-existing. I ended up buying 30 or 40 Eminence for inch drivers for the job and I couldn't have picked a better speaker. The bill quality was awesome and the sound quality was even better.

Definitely an Eminence fan here. My mains each have a Delta Pro-12A in them and they are sweet for every db of their range. The trick is, using them with enough power to make those rigid surrounds and cones move. They will thump you to your core. These are very powerful, clean, professional drivers. I can't imagine even wearing one out over decades of residential, non-professional use. I would like to see more DIY builds with these. A 3-way with an 8" Eminence woofer would be nice, and would still be a ridiculously potent speaker in a residential setting.
  • I've been building custom Guitar Speaker Cabinets since 2015. I use ONLY Eminence speakers. The only time I've ever put in anything else is if a customer specifically requested a certain "other brand" speaker. Eminence speakers are usually cheaper, better built, and offer more options to tailor fit the cabinet build and sonic pallette. Can't beat them!!

Their 10s in a 610 bass cab I had were awesome. Took 2400w like a champ with clean distortion if I did overdrive them a bit. Very nice mids.

I'm really glad I found this video! Especially before I started ordering parts for your surround build as I was going to use another compression driver. I'll have to take a closer look now! Thanks

Great variety of drivers and products to play with, and getting 100% of the time good results. PRV too
  • I own 3 of the N314-X TexTreme drivers that you mentioned, and they are incredible, fully recommend!
  • @disienna
Eminence is absolutely a great company. My best matched drivers came from them and another from Denmark. Loved them both.

Really enjoy your videos and always learn something. Wonder if you would do a video on speaker measurements showing people how to produce the graphs as in your video. Measuring bass is the area I struggle with the most. Fine from 200hz -> gated.
  • @svtcontour
I've built some home theater and open baffle speakers using their stuff. Very happy

Beta 10 CX LCR project going well. Just need to build the center channel. The 10 CX + ASD1001+ Eminence 2,500Hz crossover with L-pad sounds really good. 1.85 - 1.9 cu.ft. tuned to 53 Hz.

Years back i had a set of WLM speakers (Aura active and Duo 18) They used Eminence except for the hf - price tag on those in Usa must have been at least +1800 Usd. There was alot of engineering involved (phase coherent - active filters etc) and they sounded incredible ! Pure high end with the Umpf Pro speakers can give you. I cant remember the exact tranducers used but it was not the extreme ones, that tells you Alot abot Eminence.
  • I built a diy “superscala” with a pair of kappa 15c in them, and oh lord are those drivers good. It doesn’t even matter what amplifier I slap on them, it just sounds so sweet whether it’s an 500w 4ohm a/b amp or an 11w tube amp.
  • @mercSnake
I have the little Fender Bassman amp with a single Eminence 10 inch speaker. It has more bottom end than my old Peavy combo with a Black Widow 15 inch. Impressive little speaker!
  • @mrlonslo6472
Agreed, I have them in my 64' Impala and my Nissan Titan. And I have 4 6.5 tang bands in a custom box for my subs. Purely amazing. The guy that installed my system was a retired general motors engineer...
  • I've been using Eminence OEM replacements since the 90's for mobile dj's, bars and nightclub sound systems.
  • @cgsound
I built several speakers and only used Eminence drivers in them with excellent results and only had one driver bad out of the box (something rubbing and sounded terrible) they replaced it and all is well love these drivers.
  • @danbuffington75
What software did you use to measure the speakers and to make that chart showing how well they were matched?
  • @paulb4uk
Great to see they are still made in the usa quality speakers so many once well known brands making their stuff in china .
  • @LifeofBliss
Love eminence drivers... and their coax design! You'll love those for surrounds. The Volt 10s are super detailed. Outside of diy sound group, you don't see a lot of eminence being used for theater speakers, at least I haven't.
