Hi, I am a mom now. I used to consume long form content before and read quite a bit. THANK YOU for clipping the most relevant bits of JP and EM conversation because it was super enriching and I will think about this all day today. Please do more of these ❤!

Peterson's seriously gonna need the intercession of the Saints after wearing THAT suit...

Jordan Peterson has the most interesting takes on the Bible of anyone these days. Turns out they are just a fresh rephrasing of what Christians have always believed at least implicitly. Needs to take his own advice though with respect to God though, lol 🙏
  • Our meaning is to love, know and serve God and to and share eternal joy with Him in Heaven.

Excellent analysis of this interview with Musk and Peterson - I have waited YEARS for this to happen!

What I found most interesting about this video was not what was said but what was silently speaking the entire time the camera was on Jordan Peterson. And that is, his jacket. It was full of illustrations of Saints and the Blessed Virgin. I wonder if Elon Musk noticed. It’s spoke for itself.

I always thought of the sermon on the Mount as Jesus trying to get the people listening and Bible readers to realize just how much they need a Savior. The standard of good we set pales in light of the goodness of God in which we all fall short
  • The Bible Project is going through the Sermon on the Mount this year. Those that want to go deeper should check out their podcast.

To answer your closing question; I think I can admit that every time I’ve turned away from God, I’ve turned inward into bodily pleasures. Then on the other hand, recently I’ve noticed practising virtue helps me quell the need for that pleasure. Although I realize I need to be in a state of grace to fully receive certain virtues. Thanks for your perspective Cam, I haven’t checked out this conversation yet, but this makes me want to now!

I read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy when I was about 13, and I assume a lot of kids did too. What a smart guy that writer was to capture the imaginations of so many kids and share some deep and funny thoughts with us.

The transhumanist, ai future doesn't seem to be going in a direction where all human life has equal value and is made in the image of God.
  • @SeGamysa
I dont think he understood any of it really.
  • @NMemone
This was an excellent breakdown. I have no desire to watch a full-length interview with Elon, so I really appreciate you highlighting this part of the conversation.
  • Amazing content. Absolutely historic events being unfolded before our eyes. You couldn't be there when C. S. Lewis opened his eyes, but you can be there when Jordan Peterson opened his, or rather had them opened. Pray for Elon Musk, for God is calling together Jews and Christians in this hour. May the twelve tribes receive their own. Thank you to a wise and ecumenical brother Cameron who continues to lead the way toward unity in the most important matters of the holy Christian faith.

It's great to wake up to the Sermon on the Mount! Jordan: "Make the presumption that other people have the same intrinsic value as you do." Elon: "Well, we have to be careful about that one." Jordan goes on to say that they would discuss that further in a moment. I would like to hear that discussion, because Elon's response indicates that he doesn't believe, or doesn't want to believe, that everyone is as intrinsically valuable as him. I hear a lot of "anti-wokeism" among conservatives without a true definition of the term "woke"...they just label it "Marxist" and dismiss it. Most people know nothing about Marxist philosophy except that it's "all bad". The "label & dismiss" fallacy shuts down the conversation. A true dialog needs to be had, because the original meaning of "woke" is, in its simplest terms, the belief in that universal intrinsic value of all human beings, which has been denied to certain groups of people throughout human history. To be "woke" is to be aware of that fact. That's all "woke" means. At the end of the day, both fascism (far right) and communism (far left) deny intrinsic human worth. That narrow path in between is where we ought to be. I would love to see you interview a proponent of wokeism and open up some real dialog.

God’s law just shows us how much we need Jesus. Nobody but Him can keep the law perfectly.

I thought Monty Python was better than Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, but only watched a bit of tv show growing up

It looks to me like they are sitting on the magic carpet. A flying carpet. Do you see?

I think You're noble aims are worth commending. Also, I appreciate the emphasis on having a clarity in 1's connection with God.
