A day in the life of a UPS driver

I work as a driver helper. I’ve worked with 6 different drivers. Most of them are cool but they all seem depressed. Almost all of them said they have no time for family. Drivers are cool. Management and HR are terrible!

Left out the part where management writing you up for getting stuck in traffic and being told to finish two other guys route and get here early and don't clock in yet.

I came across this video tonight , it was filmed right here in Keizer Oregon !! This guy has delivered packages to my house several times, he is a professional and absolutely the nicest guy !

Awesome video bro, Loved the fact you read the Bible in the morning that me also. I'm a UPS driver myself just hit top scale in July but been with company since may 2006. Good job for pay and benefits, but it has its really rough days which is expected with a job paying that we'll with no college education required. To do this job it all comes down to if you can handle the hours and getting home at random stuff times and not letting how many stops or bulk you may have on any random day get to your head. It's ruff at first, but you learn to deal with it over time.

My brother has worked for UPS 33 years come January. The drivers don't start until 09:15 after the daily huddle and the Vince Lombardi speech by the supervisor 😆

I'm a retired single UPS driver. Most of my coworkers we're divorced or Unhappily Married. Working long hours till 9pm is asking for a divorce. I had girlfriends that couldn't wait till 9pm so they cheated on me. They couldn't understand why I was getting off so late.

And thanks to the Teamsters Union, these drivers are paid well and have good benefits.

Imagine being a driver in like Brooklyn during Christmas time

I used to work for the "A" Holes ... Ran 125 to 140 Stops A Day , and was told that wasn't GOOD ENOUGH ... !! I was young then . Supervisor got in the P 500 package car with me one day , had a clipboard and a stopwatch in his hand . Said I had to run so many stops in a hour . I SAID , I guess the next thing out of your mouth is about SAFETY ..? I Told him to put his seat belt on , and close the door ...!! And we went through residential area 's 35 - 40 mph .. to try to make his delivery times of 1 hour .That Company IS RIDICULOUS ... !!!!
