  • @TheSlayer.
It really shows how terrifying Freeman is to the average HECU.
  • This shows just how much of a gap between a highly trained special forces and a highly trained professional is.

I love that Gordon sparing the lone soldier suggests that he just only wants to survive as much as him. Def speaks of how brutal it can be trying to preserve one's own life in this kinda situation, no matter how terrifying it may look from the other.

I like how in LZ Sparrow since its outside no one is wearing a gas mask, But in this Animation since everyone is inside they are wearing a gas mask

I love this so much - from the attention to detail, to their panic fueled frantic dialogue, it’s incredible. I’ve always wanted to see these guys fight from their perspective.
  • @halofly3
I always wondered where in the world did Freeman pick up his skills from. The man wasn't just dunking on HECU but literal black op assassins, armed and armored vehicles, aliens, and other extra dimensional beings. All this happens "hours" after the incident and for all we know the Hazard Course was the only time Freeman actually trained on a firearm.
  • @bobross2140
I imagine Freeman himself is still recovering from the shock of realizing that the HECU are NOT here to save the BMS personnel. So he lets the Marine live out of anger and grief, as if saying "you did this, now you have to live with it." Amazing work, I audibly yelped when I saw this in my reccomendations.
  • @nuxbronson
God damn I love how heavy you made Gordon footsteps sound, like he's a walking tank. I also liked how the soldier panicked, and just gave up in the end, felt human if that makes sense.
  • @Jotapege2
2:47 "That is by all standards simply that an ordinary man... How can you have failed to apprehend him" THAT IS NOT A NORMAL PERSON ITS ALL BUT THAT
  • @Leharn
Damn that HECU Marine in cover got his thousand yard stare.
  • @Xander_canadian
I like the small touch of the Marines saying the names of their squad mates makes it a little bit understandable as to why the Marine became shell shocked
  • @ivanonlyone7160
Probably the best HL-themed animation I've ever seen. This one really portrays Freeman as a killing machine and shows HECU's fear facing Freeman, who's avenging the killing of his scientist buddies. The pacing, scene shots are cooked REALLY well. I don't care if this is made not in animation software but in GMod, this FEELS f-ing AMAZING I wish if there will be a Half-Life film, it must be made no less than in such quality

Dude, you just keep getting better and better. The HECU falling down the stairs feels so natural, along with everything else the marines do, from the corpsman rushing to help their comrade to the panic attack at the end! Plus, I love how the team interacts with each other, in and out of combat. Makes them feel like they care. :)
  • @LezzyMania_02
I like how Gordon was just standing there Infront of a Marine and tells him that 'You Created this, Not Me.' stating that the HECU did not come here to save them. This shows that sometimes most people create their own monsters.
  • @onurpro9514
I can’t Imagine highly trained marines getting ass kicked, humiliated and traumatized by a badass silent nerdy scientist with orange tank suit and his trusty crowbar that explains why Gordon is highly trained professional lmao 😂 The freeman don’t f… around
  • @AGenericAlias
gmod? fucking gmod?! How in god's green earth is a GMOD animation this buttery smooth?! This man has somehow pushed GMOD animation to the bleeding edge - massive props to you man.
  • Makes me wonder, despite this probably would never actually happen cause of either adrenaline or military disclipine, but if the game does code one or two HECU soldiers to breakdown or giveup and not shoot at you if you wipe their team out, would players spare them? Fascinating to think of. Also good job sprinkling bits of ded scientists and guards, spawning the feeling of "yeah those soldiers did to other people the atrocities they are experiencing right now" despite the visceral horror shown thus far. Good craft.
