  • Being born wealthy gives someone an advantage but being born to good parents is what actually makes you rich.

Good morning Danny and Wanda. Been on a little hiatus but tuned in this morning and Boy or Boy was it the perfect time. I’m turning 60 next month and have made many many bad choices. With your words this morning I am bound and determined to always pray and ask for God’s guidance to help me make the right decisions. You have touched my heart this morning. Blessings

Danny. I was just 19 years old when I had my first kid. I did not want her to be embarrassed or ashamed like I was. When she was about 3 years, I enrolled in college. I had no idea what I wanted to do to earn a living. Someone told me to be an Accountant. Be a CPA because they earn a lot of money. I did that. I worked so hard to he the best because I had a kid. I didn't have any idea what an Accountant was let alone a CPA. I did graduate FIRST in my class and became a CPA. I had to because that's all there was. I did enjoy my career before my terrible back surgery in 2013. But I am so glad I did it. No kid in my world says when I grow up, I want to be a CPA. I DIDN'T even know what that meant. I did it because I had to get out of the poverty cycle. If their is a Will, there is a Way.
  • Some of us have found out the hard way that we truly do reap what we sow. My body ain't what it use to be. But I thank God I can look back at all my young stupidity and actually say I learned my lessons and not repeat them. God's been so good to me!!
  • @miephoex
AMEN AND AMEN. From a born again believer! Yes, I have cancer for making a choice 60 years ago and that I’m paying for that choice but Jesus saved me by giving his life for me. As you said, I’m paying for my choices and will reap the reward of the only choice that mattered in the long run. To accept Jesus Christ as my Savior.
  • I'm with you Danny, I am not a Christian I am a child of God!
  • God has chosen each and everyone for this time. I was so mad at God for a long time. I was a CNA going to be a nurse and I hurt my back and I just didn't understand why it happened to me, I thought I was supposed to take care of others but he knew what was coming. I thank God everyday because I would not have taken the you know what in the arm. I would have lost everything. He created me a rebellion of the things on earth so I would be at this time on earth and not get the thing in the arm. He even gave me the perfect husband. The moments in me and my husband's lives have led us to be together for 27 years so far. He lived in WI and I in UT. He knew we needed each other to guide us through this moment in time. I thank God everyday for such a wonderful husband. We have been through so much together.

70 years is nothing compared to forever! My mom and I were just talking about this yesterday. When we considered all our losses 70 yrs of this life is nothing compared to forever and when we consider forever that mindset changes everything else. Keeping the end in mind makes choices easy. I've learned to be content with a lot and with a little. When I count all my blessings the Lord has proven his faithfulness to me more than I ever deserved 💙

Thank you for Porch Time insight! I was saved at 2 in the morning, Jesus communed with me for a while, I was so filled with his love and joy, I wanted to go with him, well, He lifted my soul above my chest and gave me a choice to go with him or stay and take care of my boys, well, He knew the hard things I would have to endure, I chose to stay here. I've been through horrible things, suffering was great, but I'll say this, you have to keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep going. You must be born again, continue in the faith and endure till the end. Glory be to God!
  • Random advice from experience from chilhood. If you ever get a boil, scrape a potato with a spoon to make a pulp, then apply it to the boil and apply a bandage overtop. It will come to a head ov overnight and hardly leave a scar after healing. My country boy father who grew up poor as dirt literally dirt floors in the 70s taught me that. And it worked like a charm

Father God, thank you for Danny and allowing him to share your word with us. Mr Danny, you have no idea how you have touched my life. Thank you and God bless you and Miss Wanda.🙏❤
  • @durrdogg
“I was the running water”. Love that!! I didn’t have it that bad but I was the TV remote to change the channel and my brothers were the TV antenna turners.
  • You have no idea, how much I really needed this guidance this morning. God bless you. I need prayers, for this morning, and for God's grace this day. Thank you, fellow Christian, I really needed this chat, such a blessing.
  • I absolutely love to listen to you! I try to pass on some of your words of wisdom on to my grandchildren. You have helped me put into words the things that I feel and need to say, even to my own children. Thank you so much and please continue sharing the word!
  • I was afraid of my husband's seizures. Last July he had one while driving. Praise God he is now on the correct med. In January my greatest fear, a dry well, living in the desert. God got us through. Now I'm dealing with IBS. I am also turning my health over to God for his solution, praise and glory.
  • I am an old farmer in Ohio. When I was a kid, I would sometimes tell my dad “I can’t” do something. Dad would tell me “can’t died in the poorhouse”. Occasionally dad would take the back way into town and go past the county home. It was a farm with a large home for the indigent in the county. They were expected to work for their room and board. Dad would point to it and say “that is where can”t lives, and you don’t want to end up there”. That taught me to work hard and figure things out and to plan and save for my future.
  • Good Morning to the two of you & Good Night as it's 2:15 AM here. Have a great day.
  • Once again, I gain so many truths by listening to your Porch Times. Thank you for being willing to share the truths to us. God Bless you and Ms Wanda. You two make a wonderful team.
  • Your so right about things. I’m 67 years old an it’s harder getting around . I too look around looking for something to get up as I’m weeding . Lol But you know the difference is that this younger generation wouldn’t even try . There’s no work ethic instilled in them.
