I did not want to admit being on this medicine but it's been about four years now. Just my luck that the doctors had me start it just as I thought I would start trying to be a YouTube content creator. All that charisma and energy I once had is mostly depleted but a few supplements and good diet help. I did two years of high power uvb treatments three days a week and never missed a treatment until they said no more, time to start trying methotrexate. I believe I found the secret to turning orange haha. Almost in good spirits today, it does lessen the pain when it works. Farewell who I was, hello what is left of me.

  • I just want to say it's rather amazing that any physician would take the time to answer questions and comments so even though I don't have a particular question I so appreciate this

I'm glad to see you responding to the comments! Maybe you can help me out. I took about 6 weeks of 15mg methotrexate weekly. My hair has been rapidly thinning since week 5. It's significantly helped my eczema to the point where I can manage the rest via moisturizers and topical steroids. I want to stop taking mtx now, would I expect a "rebound" effect with mtx? Any side effects of stopping now? Will my thin hairs regrow? Will my eosinophil count sky rocket again? Besides folic acid, what else is a MUST for hair regrowth? Rogaine? Thank you for taking the time!
  • I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2019 and am on methrotraxate 7.5 weekly and folic acid 5mg. My question is l was again put on osteomine tablet for a month, since l take methotrexate once a week can I skip osteomine on the day l do take methotrexate?

When a person is diagnosed with seronegative RA based on diagnostic testing that shows symmetrical synovial thickening and bone erosions, what sort of additional testing is done to rule out any differential diagnosis and what are the possible disease considerations? Thank you.

I'm on 15mg Methotrexate once a week for Psoriasis. Have been for almost 6 months. Haven't seen a major change aside from the redness reducing. Considering packing them in.

  • Hello, what if in November 2020 four fingers were completely swollen after craft works and the level of Anti CCP was at >0.4, then in January 21 during a rheumatic examination the Anti CCP level increased to 96 and now again it is at <0.4, without any treatment, no inflammations and no more swellings but on the tip of one finger? Do you think the second measurement could be an error? And would you treat with methotrexate by now? All other blood test results are negative.
