Completely new to watercolor painting-- actually new to attempting anything artistic.  I'm 49 and have always bought into the internal messages of sucking at anything art based.  However, I have a unique perspective of how all the internal messaging works as I am a mental health therapist!! Yea, pretty much "Physician heal thyself".  Watercolor painting is one of the ways I have wanted to challenge my internal world and in attempt to find healthy outlets for all the 'cancer' I've eaten over 25+ years of being a therapist.  This past Mother's Day, I wanted to paint a rose for my wife (it would be only the 2nd item I've painted in the 18 months+ since I've bought my supplies).  I still deal with the paralyzing anxiety over putting paint to paper because I haven't a clue as to what to do.  So, today I thought "OK, someone on YouTube has got to have put up a SIMPLE tutorial on how to do this".  Thank you sooo much for this!!  I don't have instagram.  BUT-- I promise, I will have my daughter post my attempt either today or tomorrow to show I've actually used this technique.

Feel like someone should say it so I’m going to Your flower may not be perfect the first try, watercolor is complicated so keep practicing! Soon you’ll be able to do it with ease!
