32 years later, if you're watching this, you're a legend.

I'm using this song as a theme as I'm recovering from an illness. Back to life, back to reality. No more being sick and depressed, lost in a nightmare of wanting to curl up and die. God help us all.

Forget Taylor Swift, this ladies and gentlemen is what you call real quality music 🎶. Who agrees with me

The dancer's name is Wunmi! She was in my creative arts class at City & East London college, as an arts & fashion design student. I remember her quite well. Slim, stunning and extremely talented. The whole Soul 2 Soul movement came out of another movement called the Madhatters in North London, pioneered by Trevor Nelson, who became one of the UK's most notable DJ's. He was my school mate at Kingsway Princeton and we kick started house parties from my apartment & house in North London, all while in college. We loved what we called Rare Soul in the 80's. Before we all knew it, our movement spread across all of London and underground parties. Jazzy B used to DJ a lot and is also from my neck of the woods of Finsbury Park. I remember the last house party where Jazzy B was the DJ. Before we all know it, Soul II Soul was born and BOOM! That's the skinny from an incognito fellow. They used to call me Prince haha, because I dressed like him. I can tell you all, it was the greatest time to be alive for all of us in the 80's ❤

Her voice and the violins are just awesome.

JUST learned that this song is LITERALLY about Karen Wheeler 'dying' on the table, having an 'afterlife' experience and being brought 'Back 2 Life'! Knowing that gives this great song an even GREATER meaning! The lyrics hit different knowing she's petitioning The Most High to "do whatever He Wants" with her life!

If you you remember this from your childhood, you made it ❤❤❤

Damn..it is 4:30 am and I can't turn this off. I miss this music. What have we become that quality soul/funk is missing from the air waves.

"Back to Life, back to Reality". Needed now in 2021 more than ever!

This song came out 34 years ago and it is still a musical masterpiece
-
These are the songs we grew up with, they moved us and inspired us. We adored the styles and grooved to the beat, there will never ever be a second 90's in our path!

Who will be listening in 2025? Me.

I’m 24 and this was one of my moms favorite songs. I was out today and just heard it when I was with her brother. She died last year, this song will always be close to me.
-
This was my moms recovery song. My mother clean from heroin in the late 80's and she would have this on repeat. R.I.P. mom

YouTube is the closest we have to a Time Machine. The emotions and memories flood when you hear certain songs. You can almost remember what the air smelled like when you hear a nostalgic song. Shout out to 90’s kids
