hope yall enjoy! what is your favorite place in the game? and also, did you like this sort of free-form, ramble-y type of video?
  • @mr.avocado
dude, I miss Youtube recommending this type of content, just someone talking about their experiences and feelings, not scripted, not forced, no fancy editing, just simply humane commentary. This is a great video

I love the desert too, people complain it was too big and confusing but I love the challenge of figuring out where each corridor leads to.
  • Albedo's event stories should be his permanent character stories. It's a shame new players don't get to play them. Same with the Fischl/Mona Star quest when we first meet Scaramouche.

the most nostalgic place for me is the very first beginning of the game where you wake up and the way you walk to Mondstadt city.

There’s so many cool places in Genshin and yet most of them are rarely used after release. I remember, for example, some of the Chasm underground looked really cool, like the giant mushroom and the ruined cities, and it’s a shame that we don’t get a real reason to return after we finish exploring these areas. I know that implementing events that take place in these locations would not be a good thing when a good part of the players haven’t explored it at all, but I would really love an event that allowed you to take pictures of these areas for rewards, since it would help the players remember that the Sea of Bygone Eras still exist

Funny story about Klee's treasure, it's actually there before you do that story quest
  • @heksatek3407
enkanomiya... i got chills when you walk thru the phase gate and seeing dainishi mikochi and my god its still one of the best looking places imo
  • i'm surprised no one's mentioned it yet, but the path leading to the city of Liyue is absolutely beautiful. you follow it as part of the main archon quest, and then you climb up this hill and at its peak you see the whole of Liyue laid out in front of you with its golden lights and the sea, and there's even a watchtower you can climb to get a better view- argh i got chills when they showed the Liyue cutscene for the first time. it's beautiful and reminds me of celebrating CNY when i was younger and things were simpler (lol). plus the music in the whole region is lovely (especially Moon in One's cup and Liyue's theme with the swelling orchestra at the end)! it's even better when they add floating lanterns over the sea during Lantern Rite TT when i'd just unlocked Liyue i used to go there to just run around the city. this video made me very nostalgic haha

Some other forgotten area at the top of my head: -Tomo's grave (Where Kazuha placed Tomo's vision, the white cat is there too), -Aranana Village the "day version" -Inside the giant ruin guards -Stormterror's Lair main tower, lowest floor and at the very top -Nameless island in Mondstadt -The abandoned wine cabin in Liyue (you can get a lot of low rarity artifacts here) -There is a cave in between the statue's leg in Liyue, near Golden House. -Pervases's Temple and the pond next to it. -The root system in the Chasm that can teleport you up to Sumeru. -The Temple of Silent -The thief's cave underwater of Fontaine (there is a trapped dog there that you can feed) -The researcher hideout at the edge of Fontaine (where Paimon help you out of the cage) -3 torches sand island at the beach of Sumeru (I assumed it's the border of Natlan) -Near the place above is a waterway, there is a small tent of an artist NPC from the mini world quest. -The pari's cave at the end of the desert swamp. -The shinning gold mushroom cave near the dendro chicken. -Pirate ship + cave combo in Serai island -Neko's shrine -The hilichurl camp on water around Watatsumi Island -Kokomi's secret base -The ghost village in Wuwang Hill -The frogs "shrine" in the chasm. -That one special fishing spot in the Chasm's cave with the Black Serpents and monuments puzzle
  • One thing I like about character story quests is how they'd permanently change the world. like how mona broke the seal on the door, how we drain the water in albedo's, and how we opened up sal terrae in Zhongli's. I can't remember if all story quests used to do that nor have I paid attention in the newer ones, but I do remember trying to guess what area they'll touch upon when starting a quest.

some days i have the urge to make a brand new account purely to explore again but then i remember just how much there is and how much time it takes and 💀💀

The Door to Khaenri'ah is definitely on my list. Just after such a long slog, finally getting to the bottom of the cave and see this massive door across the large cavern, the eight-pointed star emblem emblazoned upon it? Bruh... Stunning. I'd also put the adeptus' retreat place on this list. Y'know, the little floating island above the moutains that you have to do that puzzle to unlock? I love that area. It's so cool and you can see so far and it's so damn pretty. There's no reason at all to go back there after you get the chest, but I still do on occasion just for nostalgia's sake. Also, some of the places in the Chasm! I'm specifically thinking of the old, upside-down ruins, the big, glowing mushroom that talks, and the area with the celestial nail, but I'm sure there are other really cool spots.

Places I’d like to add to this list: -The starting beach -The unnamed island in mondstat -the fancy boat floating on liyue harbor -boar king “boss” -Those small islands east of the kamisato estate -the palace of alcazarzaray -vimara village (I suppose it got brought up in bedtime story) -That beached boat with the bar on it in fontaine

one thing i wish genshin would add is the ability to put daily commissions in some of those places, like enka, chasm, and sea of bygone eras, and in some less visited places in the overworld. it'd give a reason to visit some of those beautiful places again great video, i love these places as well ToT
  • @artistcomplex
This is one reason I rotate my daily's to a different region each week, it helps to remind me just how vast the game world of Teyvat is.
  • @hairlord306
11:37 you haven't completed the puzzle yet, you need three more slates to unlock two luxurious chests. It's easy to miss, since we probably already solved a puzzle on the same location, so I figured that out thanks to this video
  • @RoyalTfrii
Dragonspine will forever be my favorite sub-region in teyvat and its such a shame how little incentive the game gives you to return to any of the main sub-regions after you complete the main reward tree there.
  • @cvxgaming6855
Playing Genshin Impact in the early days was such a magical experience. I still frequently go to stormterror's lair even with its outdated visuals because the atmosphere is just unmatched. I also love how the music doesn't change when engaging in combat
  • @yams6180
This made me so nostalgic and kinda teary eyed lol. Genshin was my comfort game back in the pandemic and I was always playing it and the most nostalgic for me was mondstadt up to inazuma/enkanomiya. I miss playing with friends in those times. Additionally, whenever I hear watatsumi island's OSTs, that's when the nostalgia always hit lol. Thank you for this vid!
