Your videos were among the first I watched that got me interested in playing Minecraft. I've never even attempted 2b2t, but it's one of the most fascinating phenomena in gaming I've ever come across. Always excited to see the next installment of madness when your videos come out!

It's official: 2b2t is now officially harder to connect to than play.

A true anarchy server can neither be too easy nor too hard, it's ultimately up to the players to decide how much effort they're willing to put into making it easier or more difficult. 2b2t has existed for so long that it's beginning to resemble what would happen in the real world, where the people form their own groups and build large infrastructures

I remember first hearing about & joining 2b2t about a month after the explosion of popularity brought on by TheCampingRusher in 2016. all I had was an xray mod; no hacked clients or anything else. for about a half hour I was constantly killed at spawn by patrols and the environment, but eventually I was able to slip by on a 1x2 nether highway, found a single wood log and a crafting table, crafted bowls, and mined about 100 netherrack by hand to get mushrooms to make food while on 3 hunger points and escape further. one of the more memorable experiences I had playing minecraft as a whole, even if I've long stopped playing 2b2t by now.

The biggest challenge on 2B2T is waiting in queue for 5-7 hours.

FitMC: "You whippersnappers don't know how easy you have it! Back in my day! Uphill both ways! In the snow! Except they removed the snow and replaced it with withers! And that was just to find one piece of wheat!"

Is nobody going to talk about the fact that Fit himself is the biggest cause of the massive player growth lmao
  • @LogicProXGaming
It has become so easy that even I can escape spawn and I can barely see. No withers, every player I saw left me alone, and I just walked a highway to get out. I was on for hours without finding a single person.

I first logged in 1 year ago. I've always been playing vanilla, and i escaped spawn without any difficulty, with only one death to a PvP-er. Now i'm in the millions, with multiple shulkers and totem, still in vanilla. This server has been easy for a long time now

I love the history of this server. One a realm of pure chaos but eventually a order rise up unintentionally
  • That's funny, what you're saying about the server attracting "good apples". I haven't joined the server yet myself, but I've always thought that when I do, I would play as a good guy helping others. Because I think it's poetic that even in this deadly wasteland, kindness can still flourish. They say that chaotic situations and anarchy reveal the worst of humanity, but it can also reveal the best of us. It shows that people are meant to come together in the end and help each other, that's our true nature.

Imagine if far far in the future 2b2t is “civilized” by the players.

I mean the easier difficulty is great for new players, however for the old players it’s probably not as fun for them anymore knowing the only good thing is no longer easy to do.
  • @Sbinnala
I escaped spawn and got to 40,000 in the overworld before dying to a random wither. My bed didn’t work either.
  • @Disruptedable
2B2T is exactly where it is supposed to be. It is the result of It’s own evolution. Leave it as is, changes will sometimes be nice, some not. All depends on who you ask, but the server should be left to It’s own devices as it always has been. Dont change it, it is a piece of gaming history, that is still being written.
  • I think part of why it's been getting easier is the fact that the server is way better known now, which causes the knowledge of how to easily escape spawn to be way more widespread. That, combined with all the other factors just makes it trivial. But it's not even a recent development. I haven't played since like 2019 but even then escaping spawn was already trivial.
  • @beartic_ler4164
you just KNOW that people are gonna start making it WAY harder to escape spawn after this vid went live
  • @lees8359
I love how the production quality and the video style has gotten better over time and the content is still top notch and much more distinct than other channels!
  • @Aura_Mancer
I mean, it makes sense House increases the spawn radious. It's the less intrusive way to bypass them. As to why they want new players to survive? Well, he wants money from the priority queue, and if no new players can join at all because escaping spawn is super hard, the server will eventually slowly die. This happens with all communities, if there's no new people entering, they will dissappear.
  • I think destructive behavior is just a temporary development stage in people. Maybe this is the biggest reason behind this
