Centerpoint criminals. They should pay for all extra expenses instead of the taxpayers.

We are extremely disappointed with the inadequate response from CenterPoint. It's important to clarify that our dissatisfaction is not directed at the hardworking employees in the field who are doing their best to address the situation. Rather, it is concerning the decision-makers whose lack of concern is evident. It's crucial to emphasize that decisions made during these critical events have real consequences, and when lives are lost due to these decisions, those responsible should be held accountable both criminally and civilly.
  • We do not need shelters or protection, we need power. Ask Center Point to get their act together.

Let's make sure the utility companies have an incentive here and "skin in the game". I propose a new regulation by the Public Utilities Commission of Texas : any home which experiences a power outage due to a forecasted weather event will receive one week of power FREE for every day of their power outage beginning on the second day of the outage. Beginning on the sixth day that home will receive one month of power FREE per day of their outage. This might not speed up recovery efforts but it would ensure the general public that the utility companies have every incentive to be prepared in advance and to work as quickly as possible, and it would directly compensate those homes which experience power outages lasting more than 24 hours.

The map Center Point Energy released last night has bad data. It shows energized lines where there is still no power and lines in the queue to be repaired where there is already power. I feel the Company is misleading the public, which could do further harm, all in an effort to put any information out to save face. They should pull this map and not mislead the public. What if a person uses the little bit of gas they have to get home because it appears they have power and when they get there they have no power and no way to refuel to leave again.
  • How tf can you report an outage when Centpoint isn’t answering the phone. You all make me sick with your scripts and lies.

2 million is a lot of homes….Not people . That means more than half of Houston, it will take weeks & nobody is prepared for this

Just now getting help from other states?! Why were they not deployed sooner?!! Centerpoint and Administration FAILURE!! 🤬

10 am not a single centerpoint truck anywhere. Veterans memorial and beltway 8. Wednesday.
  • How is Abbott's Asian vacation going? Did he get quality time to spend with his favorite Bangkok Ladyboys or was he to busy "running" from his responsibility as a governor. Any word from California Cruz? How's his vacation from having to deal with a hurricane going? I hope the weather is cooperating for the sweet & lovely 🤮 Ted the vacationing podcast man.
  • The whole town of Livingston is without power. No gas. No Water. No. Fast food. No nuttin .
  • It is ridiculous how this country's infrastructure has degraded. This was a cat 1. Now, I would expect something like this out of a 5. I've never understood why they insist on running power lines overhead. Large cities like new York have theirs, underground. Not saying that would prevent an outage. But it would sure help lessen the damage.
  • I have not seen a repair crew in our area yet. Or anyone doing an examination of the damage. We have two poles down just in a 1/4 mile area. With trees laying on many more lines. I try to stay in and off the roads due to intersections being out.
  • I’m going to sell my house and leave Houston. The place is terrible. It used to be bearable because it was cheap but everywhere is expensive now. Might as well move somewhere nice
