  • I'm a bit concerned for the other guests who probably now believe that there's the ghost of a British bloke who roams the corridors in the middle of the night giving a running commentary! 😲

Rumour has it if you say “bed bugs” five times looking into the the hotel bathroom mirror, a Pontins Blue Coat appears and sends you to Prestatyn (hell) 😂
  • 😂 He was making all those spooky noises in the corridors, opening those doors, the stairs, whispering. Anyone in rooms may have freaked out thinking it was a ghost. Oh! The piano and the noise! 😂 He played ghost for a night without knowing.

Hi Tim, apparently The Lady in Red was stabbed and strangled between rooms 502 and 504 on the fifth floor not 512. Her room was split into three separate rooms, 502, 503, and 504. While 504 is now officially the Lady in Red-themed room—lavishly festooned with scarlet curtains, a flowy bed canopy, and matching period furniture—more activity has actually been reported in room 502 Loving your videos. Thank you ❤

My wife sneezed whilst i was watching you walking through the corridors. I nearly hit the ceiling with fright 😅😅😅

The Welsh hotel is the scariest by far. This hotel is actually much cleaner than any Britannia you've stayed 😂 this alone makes Britannia more spooky than this 😅
  • @jemmah4723
The noise from the wind coming through the window was such a spooky vibe 😂

They meant to build an exorcise room, but there was a spelling mistake on the plans! 10:22

I've stayed at the Mizpah Hotel twice. It's worth mentioning that the town lies in the middle of the remote high desert between Reno and Las Vegas. Part of the spooky vibe I got was rolling into town after sunset through some of the darkest night skies that you can imagine. The sign on top of the hotel is the brightest beacon of light after driving several hundred miles through some very remote territory. There's a small casino next door and a whiskey bar across the street. The town is very dog friendly. I don't think it was literal dog smell in the hallway, though dogs are welcome at the hotel (I brought mine). To me, it smells musty, similar to many historical B&B's in the UK. This is probably the nicest hotel in NV between Vegas and Reno on US 95. If you're a light sleeper, you may be awakened by the many long-distance trucks that barrel through town all hours of the night. You might have had an older mattress on your bed. I recall the beds to be quite comfortable. If you do want to freak yourself out a little, leave your room and go down the stairs to the lobby in the middle of the night. They keep the hallways very dark.

After sleeping in his car for half the night when staying in the Clown Hotel it does not seem like a great idea staying in another haunted hotel the next day.

The smell is the haunting. There are often chemicals being given off in these very old buildings, sometimes very low level carbon monoxide from heating systems and other chemicals from older paints, carpet cleaner etc. These play with the brain and cause "haunting". A clean hotel with clean smell and nice fittings will VERY rarely be reported as haunted. This one is playing on all the stereotypes :)

Gorgeous building. Proof that you can own an old hotel and still keep it clean and pleasant (Britannia, take note!). If there are spirits there, they must have sensed you were nervous and decided to leave you alone for the most part. Or maybe they knew you were in the room with the wailing window and decided that was hair-raising enough!
  • The Hotel certainly has plenty of character and seemed to be in a time warp, but the haunted reputation would put me off especially if I was alone. Well done Tim for staying there. Great Vlog as always Thank You

Looks an absolutely beautiful hotel. Use to ghosts here as my house is haunted. My miners terraced cottage was built in 1901. One of the ghosts in my house likes Jazz music and has lately been tampering with the Google nest mini in my bedroom and it's been playing jazz music on full blast at various times of the day and night. So I'd be quite happy to stop there.

Tonopah is a great place, and the Mizpah is a fantastic hotel. I think my wife and I once stayed in the very room in which you stayed. She and I organized the 74th West Coast Science Fantasy Conference (Westercon 74) in Tonopah, using the Mizpah, the sister hotel the Belvada, other local hotels, and the convention center, in July 2022, and we had more than 150 people who came from all over the USA for a four-day event here. Nearly everyone was just captivated by the town. We love this town and cannot wait to come back for another visit.

I love your vids Tim. They really ease my daily anxiety for some reason. Thank you :)
  • I love your haunted hotel series! I tried to stay in a haunted hotel once and I just lay awake all night scared witless 😅
