It's no surprise to many on the Gulf Coast that sharks live in our waters, but two separate shark attacks on the same day just miles apart raised concerns about the rising population of sharks.

As a florida gulf coast resident that spends alot of time on the water I can tell you that there is a constant presence of bull sharks, the media always portrays it like there is a shark outbreak whenever an attack occurs

The more you look at the water the more sharks will be seen.

The more the coral reefs die, the less natural food supply for the sharks. They will look for other prey.

It is ice cream. When ice cream sales increase, shark attacks increase.

Google shark attack fatalities and choose images.😳..I don't recall any of those being on the news....those poor people. 😢

Stay far away from any near shore bait fish schools.

There are protections in place for sharks now. Their populations have increased. Logically, it would suggest that competition for food might increase attacks. Humans might not be the preferred diet of Bull and Tiger sharks, but they'll do in a pinch. Those are two of an endless number of coastal sharks that can kill you. Increased numbers can also increase the number of territorial shark attacks. Don't go in the water. Watch "Sharks Happen" if you want the raw data and real stories on shark attacks.

Must be summer again. They could run the same recorded story from thirty years ago

Those same EXPERTS say sharks dont eat humans yet there are plenty videos showing otherwise.
  • I almost got attacked but I ran so quick screaming shark I thought I was running on water

Therefore,by Dr. Powers standard about sharks not "liking" the taste of humans, the shark(s) in these attacks must have liked what it bit, since the shark continued to bite several times on a single victim. Dr. Powers, that is an old and continuously disproven theory for a long time now, which continues in this case.

Are you sure it is where they live. We need more experts like this guy. I just found out sharks live in water.
