I always liked how Snape's immediate reaction to the werewolf was to protect the kids.

It’s unbelievable how skilled Snape was. Deflecting McGonagal’s enraged attacks, knocking out the death eaters, taking their wands and fleeing in one fell swoop. Truly the supreme triple agent.
  • RIP Allen Rickman- probably one of my most favourite performances from an actor
  • 2:57 My favorite part is when Snape was angry at the trio, then the werewolf Lupin came, he immediately turned and put his arms behind to protect them
  • He looked like the bad guy in the beginning but at the end of the series it was shown that he always had the intention to protect Harry no matter what.
  • Snape really was the bravest man in the entire series, choosing hatred in the place of love, becoming a traitor instead of a hero. And yet even when everyone was against him he still died with a smile on his face knowing that his suffering for life has come to an end and also knowing that he did his job protecting Harry the boy of the woman he loved her entire life. Even in death.

I’m glad Harry named his second son for him, truly acknowledging the major role he played in his life and keeping him safe.
  • I like how after Snape smells the fake Moody’s flask. He just looks at Harry as though he was trying to say “I’m sorry for accusing you of stealing from my storage Potter. “
  • People say he's a bully for how he treated Harry and his friends, and people say he's a hero because all the while he protected them, the best way to sum up snape is - 'Human', he's a man who can't let go of the torment he experienced, but did everything he could to make up to the people who he cared about and cared about him.
  • "Then prove it! Control your emotions. Discipline your mind." I just love that scene... Snape provoking Harry and using his outburst to motivate him. You can really see he's just trying to teach him the way he knows best.
  • I knew something was wrong with my initial perception of Snape, when I first watched him protecting the kids with his life. Against a werewolf. Actions speak louder.

The werewolf scene. He doesn't just protect Harry. He tried to protect ALL of them. Even though Harry was his primary objective, he couldn't simply leave Hermione and Ron by themselves when Harry departed. He wasn't just a discpline and loyal man. He was truly a great professor and protector of students when it comes to life and death.

But the fact that Snape was technically the person to teach Harry his signature spell (expelliarmus) is 😮😮

I felt beyond ashamed of myself when I found out about all this and didn’t realize it sooner. Snape was the strongest and noblest man in the whole series.

Few (not even Harry) realize how Snape deeply felt for keeping Harry safe.
  • To be honest, eventhough Hermoine sumtimes misunderstood Snape, she is the one who can read snapes indirect motives and strategies. She is the only one from the trio who never assumed the worst of him.
  • Knowing how much Snape loved Lilly and the fact that Sirius was the one they pinned for her death it makes much more sense how he reacted to seeing him watching it now than it did back then.
