Advanced Meisner Students Demonstrate A Scene Using The Meisner Technique - Houde School Of Acting

Published 2022-03-27
In this video two Houde teachers will demonstrate a scene from the play Dead Man's Cell Phone.

Both Leah Harper and Diana Frankhauser do a great job of capturing the behavior of two strangers meeting for the first time under an extremely uncomfortable situation.

The scene was captivating to watch, immersive, I really felt I was peeping through a keyhole. Both Leah Harper and Diana Frankhauser seem to be accomplished actresses, I wish we could have more of them and their likes in the mainstream cinema and theatre.
  • These two performers were excellent! Great job! Thank you for sharing this.
  • I rewatched Diana and Layla again with the sound off and I can definitely see the tone of the scene better. Diana is like the comedic relief and Layla is reacting off how goofy this lady is and it breaks down her self-confidence by the end. It's so powerful with the sound off.👏👏👏👏🛫

The young lady who is wearing the dress is not only beautiful but she is amazingly talented. I’ve watched quite a few of her videos. I’m currently studying Meisner acting myself but I’m only in my second semester

  • These two did such a great job...I started feeling emotional myself! 👏👏👏

wow, I really loved this video. I hope you do more of them! Also definitely checking out the online class opportunities! Great job from both of the actors, they really played their vibe incredibly well. I loved that the confident woman started to cry once the scene was over, it felt incredibly genuine, and even though she acted tough, I felt that hurt all the way from the start, and that's amazing! Bravo!!!
