It took us 5 try’s to get this old girl to fire up ! It hasn’t been started since 1997, all we had to do was add new battery’s , a little crack , a air line and fuel cross over lone to get her to fire right up!

Videos like this give me enormous appreciation for the men that designed and built these trucks. They roll right off the line and right into heavy road work, park them in a field where they're untouched for 10-20+ years, do a tweak here and there and Boom - fired up and ready to go back to work. Diesel trucks are amazing assets.
  • That looks beautiful, the 1st wide hood l drove was just before l went to Vietnam, my brother in law that taught me to drive got it brand new 335 turned up 4X4 sweet. Drove it again when I got back! God bless my brothers that didn't come back! R.I.P.

That 69 / 359 built America. We need many more videos of this truck.

Thanks for getting right to it! So many of these videos have 25 minutes of tinkering before the first crank! LOL. Good content!

Can’t kill these old girls 😆 good luck on the build 👊
  • I like the way those peterbilts sound starting up its a beautiful sound no matter what 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
  • I was in just about every state in the country by the age of 11. I didn’t know I would miss that beautiful sound/smell or a chance to have my dad driving with in the passenger seat again. It’s a different life that you have to be brought up in to really understand. Great truck, the video just brought back some memories. Thanks for sharing!

I love when an old truck comes back to life! But it always makes me ponder that not 1 single air line, fuel line , or coolant line has ever dry rotted. Or the brakes are always free. Hey every dash gauge works perfectly!
  • That's an awesome find, you can't beat the class of a little window, wide hood 359. If it was mine I'd restore it to original, including a 36" sleeper.

looks like a great start to a good project, engine sounds good.

Damn that’s a neat little hot rod! Little window aluminum frame with an updated motor and trans. Pretty neat.
