I love this movie but the trailer makes it look so happy and cute. In reality, it's actually depressing as fuck. Hahaha. It's amazing tho!

I like the ending, its like we are her blog readers. I see people in the comments calling her a "slut" just like they did. When she left, the bloggers were left with nothing but the mother's last words, as are we. So her readers mirror the viewers. We just watch ("read") a story that was never finished.

I don't understand why Americans make such a bid issue about taking a gap year. In europe almost half the high school graduates take a gap year.

" we all wanna be famous even though we're not good at anything" made me think of the kardashians 🤔
  • Random Question: Am I the only one who thinks Britt Robinson and Sabrina Carpenter should film a movie together?
  • The end has a theme of it being a real story. But it's just an example of what happens to thousands of teenage girls, or what could happen. It's meant to be open ended. The director based it on his book. He said it's loosely based on ..."a girl I know." But he never says it's a true story. By the way the directors name is Allison, but it is NOT a woman. First time ever in my life that I have heard of a man named Allison?!? But this movie was good. Britt Robertson is very good. It is very sexual, a real change from the PG stuff she usually does. I read that they made this for under $1 million. I don't know why it didn't play in theaters with a cast of Martin Sheen, Justin Long, & Christian Slater. They must have all took a huge paycut to do this movie.

There’s nothing wrong in taking a gap year before uni, if you need it then go for it but don’t do it for someone else 🤷🏽‍♀️ do it for yourself; live and make memories, life is too short.

it's a movie where we need choose our own ending to find closure in the story. if we don't, then it becomes a whodunit with no answer! we can accept what's real & what's fiction within the context of the story. we can choose a happy ending that will give us a positive closure rather than choosing something else & making the film much darker. we can interpret the last 5 minutes of film accordance to our needs. I do it to find order in the story.

That's taking daddy problems to a whole new level. That's like, grand-daddy problems. Am I overthinking this?
