Pineapple Tops Are Super Easy To Sprout! In this video revision, I go back to growing pineapples, but using the new method which is vastly superior to the old soil method. Here, we peel away all the leaf layers and place the stem in water for up to a month. Roots begin to form quite quickly, at which point, a new shoot actually starts to grow and the plant is ready for potting!

Watch how I take an existing pineapple, cut the top off, and regrow that top to produce a new, living pineapple plant that you can grow in your home. Super easy and fun to do with kids, give this a try, you won't be disappointed!. Everyone loves pineapples!

It's strange how I always just assumed that pineapples grew on trees even though I'd never heard of a pineapple tree. So anyway now I know. Thanks for sharing your wisdom

One of the best gardening tip videos I've watched on this entire app. Thank you bud
  • Thank u for taking the time to show us how to grow a pineapple from store bought. Fantastic job.
  • This video was SOOOO helpful! I was thinking I could just stick the crown, with that little bit of fruit on the bottom right into soil. I was surprised how much fruit and leaves you actually removed. I knew a video would be much clearer than just written instructions. Thank you for helping me to avoid the pitfalls I would have encountered if I'd planted the crown the way I THOUGHT I was supposed to.

I actually grew some pineapple from seeds. It took a long time but they're doing great! Last fall I started and now they're about the size of a top. Dark green and full.
