    Tip. You should make sure you put the caps back on the same ring and in the same direction they were when you lapped them.

    Good vid coop. At work when I lap I put a couple drops of oil on the lapping compound but I am lapping carbide inserts, sure scope rings clean up quicker

    Be cool if you did a video on deferential tork values of the caps with that pointer thing, you could save a lot of scoops and show the importance and or more importantly the value of sequential tork specks in order Thanks, good vid.
  • when you tighten down the rings,, no more than 18 inch/pounds. this will require a special tool to do this and if you happen to not use this,,, and over tighten the rings ,, you can damage and ruin the scope... so BE careful with this process people.
