So Kertzman and other writers wrote the show "to piss people off". By their own admission they have no respect for the star trek universe and just being a troll about it.

As a non-Star Trek fan, it really is offputting when they curse. It just seems out of place and unnecessary.

How season 2 should start: Q wakes up from the first time ever having tried dreaming, "Oh, that's what these humans must call a nightmare". Literally everything that happened in season 1 is retcon, go from there...

When I told my mom about the gender politics in STD & S TP her comment was the truest description of their sexism. "They aren't supporting women, they are patronizing women."

I still love the irony how the Federation turned from utopia to dystopia after its gender quota directive put too many women in key positions within its leadership. Good job!

Try the Picard drinking game. Take a shot every time Picard is; shouted at, lectured, mocked, called old, or he acts like an idiot or jerk or looks like he's forgotten where he is. It doesn't make the show any better but you'll be too drunk to care!

I'm so tired of seeing our most beloved cultural icons -- e.g. Luke Skywalker, Jean-Luc Picard, John Connor, etc. -- damaged, degraded or outright destroyed by these agenda-obsessed hack writers. And before anyone calls me an angry Trump supporter -- I'm not even American, and I'm an ideological liberal, which means I have a lot of Left-leaning views on tolerance and equality. People need to stop using that inane argument that everyone who disagrees with Hollywood is alt. right. I'm not alt. right and Angry Joe clearly isn't, either. We're just being intellectually honest about what's happening before our eyes. This is a great review. Kudos for speaking your mind honestly, Joe. That's why people have always loved and respected you.

Star Trek Enterprise had INFINITELY better writing, better story telling, better characters. better visuals, better ship designs, better everything than either Picard or Discovery, and it's absolutely a more faithful, and a better star trek show than either two. I don't know what these creators were trying to make, but one thing's for sure. its not Star Trek

Really? A Alex Kurtzman show ended up bad? The guy responsible for Star Trek Into Darkness, Discovery, Amazing Spider-man 2, and The Mummy 2017 (yes the Tom Cruise one)? Stop giving this guy work.

I'm watching Enterprise under quarantine and it is much better than I remembered. It is very true to the spirit of Star Trek even if it does too much canon breaking prequel stuff.
