Im not mormon but i love the meaning behind this story.... I too was cut down by god, only to grow stronger.

Drugs have ruined my life. I have chronic depression, crippling social anxiety, and my family looks down upon me as if i am the most disgraceful human to ever walk the planet. I hope this message rings true for me because I have definitely been cut down. God bless everyone I hope some day this storm will pass.

I am a Mormon per say. My family was and i still carry the church with me even though I donāt go much at all. But this is my absolute favorite video that they showed and I will take this video wherever I go.

My Bishop in my teens was Hugh B. Brown's son and i was fortunate enough to hear Elder Brown tell this story himself. Years later, i had been away from the church for many years and had stumbled many times... but i remembered this story and i asked my brother if he find me a copy of this talk. He did & sent it to me. i have been back in the church for over 25 years... but this story will always be a special one for me.

Today, I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, God's true church on the Earth. I thank Him for loving enough to cut me down, and loving me enough to let me grow into who I need to be.

When I was 15, I had great plans when I grew up, getting married, have childrens, live in a house designed by myself, have the ideal job, etc, but as the years went by,despite my efforts to make that happen, I realized that an invisible force was guiding me, whether I liked it, or not,Ā andĀ no matter how hard I was trying to make that happen, the path was already in front of me all along. I`M 7O YEARS OLD. MANY TIMES THE LORD HAS LEAD ME IN DIRECTIONS THAT I THOUGHT WERE WRONG, ONLY TO FIND VERY SPECIAL BLESSINGS THERE. TODAY WE ARE CARINR FOR A LITTLE GIRL THAT LIVES WITH US. The Mormons bring high production values to their outreach. I learned this years ago watching their Christmas specials with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Brought tears to my eyesā¦ I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that God has a higher plan for each of us that we may not understand right nowā¦ but if we do what He asks of us, no matter how difficult the taskā¦ we will be so blessed.
