The combat itself doesn't look half bad but it's baffling to me that Ubi hasn't managed to make animations as fluid as they did in Unity back in 2014, hell even Syndicate with its clunkiness looks more fluid, in fact animations got more stiff with every new AC game since then. Maybe they'll polish it but we're talking about Ubisoft here so..

I must admit, making the parkour down animations to be flips is a pretty damn good idea, also idk about the rest of you but naoe's new assasination animations look SLICK. I've always cared alot about assassination animations when it comes to ac, the variety, high and low profile diffrences, cover corner and environmental assassinations are the best

The animation looks like it's skipping frames. Even in the demo. It's not fluid. And also too much slow motion during parry.

She looks SO much smoother than Yasuke. It's clear she's been cooking in the pot a lot longer. I hope they can bring him up to par by release...... either way I prolly will only play him when I'm forced to. Ninja's for life!

This is the type of combat I have been wishing for in AC for a while. Brutal with smooth animations. They nailed it. I couldnt be happier 😁

Definitely some things they need to polish before release but it’s looking really interesting. The denied assassination was amazing, so much better than old games where you just kinda fell next to the target

Why should I play as Yasuke, if Naoe can do either fight and stealth

1:16 Movable environmental objects base on player’s physical contact. That’s pretty amazing. I think AC Unity had a promo image of that, but nothing came out of it. Before and after Unity, there had never been one until now. Also, despite the comparison to Ghost of Tsushima, one unique thing Shadow has over that is its city environment for parkour, which Ghost of Tsushima lacks.

I wonder if they'll make Yasuke's armor breakable as well like the enemies so you have to get heals and armor, or get repairs, would be a fun challenge

This is the first time we got firearms in an AC game since Syndicate
