If the world is catching up, or quite literally caught up as we saw when Serbia had our backs against the wall and before these olympics, several people called this version of USA as the best US olympic team in history, at least on paper, we are barely keeping top dog status. Durant specifically said, But Next Olympics, Curry and Durant might still be there, but uhhh not sure,

LeBron might be retired…**look he should be I don’t know,** man’s the best player on the the team right now. And that’s amazing, but also a problem.

Several players agreed to play this Olympics heavily off of the fact that other higher profile players were playing. LeBron was recruiting a year ago, LeGM and Noah Lyles.

And we fell in this cycle before. In 1988, we got a bronze medal in basketball, the lowest finish in our history, and then we said nahhh we ain’t going out like this and sent NBA players, the dream team. But then we got complacent. After a 6th place medal in 2002, in 2003 they won the America cup but in 2004, only 3 athletes returned and as a result, we saw LeBron, Wade, Melo all get called up when they were not ready.

But perhaps more importantly than that, Team USA needs to take the world seriously. *Basketball isn’t just America’s sport anymore and we should treat it as such, just as we tried to this year. But there’s a better way of going about it.* The best players in the NBA under 30 are international players. Now you have players like Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Booker, and Bam that still can be in their prime in time for next Olympics. We need to play together in FIBA, introduce glue pieces, hone in chemistry. Instead of antagonizing Tatum, we’re going to need him. We need to motivate them to continue, otherwise we’re getting recked.

But I’m excited to see where the world will be in 4 years.

The fact that it took over a decade for Steph and Lebron to play together is what makes this Olympics so special. I feel like we just witnessed history.

I stand up, put my hand on my chest and started crying like a toddler when they played the national beat 😢and I'm not even American 🤣

LeBron James, Steph Curry, and the avengers
  • We go to the Next greats- Ant, Brown, Ja, Zion, Tatum, Tyrese a few Bigs and whoever else emerges over the next four years. There's a lot of basketball to be played in four years and frankly this team was light on the defense and shooting end of things. Thank God for KD and Curry.

Im happy that we won but sad that we wont be seeing this team playing together. Steph, KD, Lebron are Legends and we got to see something very special.

Steph Curry is the best shooter in the world 🌎 🙌

Man, it would be embarrassing for team USA to lose in Los Angeles 2028. I'm praying the old-heads come back to carry us one last time. I realize that KD, Steph, and LeBron will be 39, 40, and 43 respectively. But they just gotta show up and give us whatever's left in the tank man 😭🙏

I think it's great that the world has caught up so much. It's no longer a given for the USA to win. If we want to say we're the best, the best have got to prove it. No excuses. To play in the World Cup in soccer is the greatest honor, and the greatest pressure. International success can hopefully become just as important as NBA success.

World is just a lot better, and as an American, I wouldn't be surprised if team USA doesn't get gold in '28 or '32

  • @Kwami357
Chef Curry led the USA to gold ✨️ 👌
  • @vedanthbalaji
It's not that hard. They just wait until 2028, make a solid team, and try to win gold. That's where they've always went.
  • @JJJJ-he8bz
If Lebron and Curry played in 2021 they would have blown out everyone
  • @mariajoe8635

Tatum was disrespected like crazy, the guy almost didn't play and he is the NBA champion. That's crazy.
