Collings 002H-Traditional Satin 14-Fret Adirondack Spruce | Carl Miner

Published 2021-10-10
The ‪@CollingsGuitars‬ 00 14-fret is a delightful guitar in any configuration, but the addition of an upgraded Adirondack spruce top, their vintage satin finish, and of course the Traditional Series voicing and build techniques might make this one our favorite yet. "The sweet spot between small and mid-sized instruments", this short-scale guitar has plenty of punch thanks to the Adirondack top. The satin finish helps to round out the tone a bit, bringing out the warmth and dry articulation of the Indian rosewood, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles.

If anyone needs me, I'll just be out back burning my guitars. Another astounding video!

This guitar pretty much slew my (irrational, no doubt) anti-Collings bias in one fell swoop. All the tone you could possibly want. Well done, Mr. Miner and crew.

I have a 002HA 14-fret and it’s amazing. The sound on this “T” version in the video is a little more open than mine, which makes sense. I guess I’m 5 years when mine opens up it may sound just like it lol. I guess I’ll just have to work for it. Love that little guitar and it sounds so big and beautiful but comfy to play.
